He was absolutely right in doing what he did!! There was NO act of aggression, no violence and contrary to Rubens' comment it had NOTHING to do with the car being from New York. Everyone from the Massachusetts area knows that in the winter when it's snowed if there is a shoveled space on the street and there is something in it, it's someone's space. This man shoveled for hours to clear his space and left a bookshelf in the space. So this person came along saw parking spaces with furniture or lawn chairs etc and decided to remove the bookcase and park in someone else's space. Which to me is SEVERELY rude!! I guess "Luis" must've skimmed over that part. Even though I'm from Bahston (Boston) I have common sense enough to know if there's 4 feet of snow everywhere and the spots have furniture in them that the "snow fairy" didn't shovel it out just for them. They should've gotten out of the car and shoveled their own damn spot. If this man had long enough to throw all of this snow onto the car that took his spot, obviously they weren't visiting for a short time. If they were visiting the area the person they were visiting also knew the way it works in Massachusetts and should've had a spot shoveled out for their visit. I thought it was pretty nice that the man left them access to the front door just in case there was something they needed in the car!!

I can't believe such heathens really exist in the United States of America. Who really believe they are going to dig their car out during the aftermath of a snow storm and come back and find the space empty? This guy dug his car out because he needed it, that was not his private driveway nor rented spot that was a public space. He said after he spent so much time digging his car out somebody had the nerve to park there no, he had the nerve to expect to come back and find the space. You leave your car in that space if you don't want to worry about finding another space. And for the people who are talking badly about New Yorkers because appearantly the person who parked in that space didn't know about that stupid rule you are just as that stupid as that rule. Please don't go to another state and believe that rule exist there. The depravity of man, you would really complain about finding another parking space but take the time to shovel the same snow that you complained about shoveling in the first place, how bright. You'll get the right person one day probably one of your fellow Bostonians because we see how y'all think they'll take care of you.

I've shoveled out driveways for multiple houses. It feeling sucks and is a workout. It's also s b*%¢h to walk in. Now for anyone saying the guy that got his revenge is messed up or "Well this is why people from Boston are regarded as childis or ignorant".... well F you ten ways to Sunday ya b!+¢h! Oh he went to far and he was childish. What happened to common courtesy? What happened to knowing when someone knows they are doing something rude to someone else. Its common sense to any DECENT person to respect what other people work for. He was not violent in his response at all. Also if he is really a bad @$$ from New York then he can clear that of in a half hour. Anyone from a northern state knows that. So what he was wrong in his revenge?? Nah he taught the punk a lesson in manners. Sometimes you gotta play the adult and teach another adult a lesson in manners. So that's what was done and needs to be done every now and then.
I would have done the same thing. Just wouldn't have posted it on Craigslist.

Only people who don't have a driveway or secured parking space will understand. It's a bitch clearing out a spot and coming home after work just to find out it's gone , and so is every other space and now you have to waste more time driving around and hope that there's a free space less than 5 blocks from your home.

Agression in any way is bad. If the city has a regulation for this kind of events it should post it clearly on every street. This is not the norm in NY. And since when nyorkers should be treated like that, piling up snow, or slashing the tires? Since when we are your enemies. If so just state it clearly so we can start looking for a special regulations against Bostonians when they visit the Big Apple because we just think you are contributing to our lack of parking space that makes us walk 2 to 6 blocks at night from home in residential areas. Could that be consider fair, friendly, welcoming? No. So stop whining about it. If you clear it and moved away you parked your car on some other place that was clean by someone else. If someone slash my tires or dump the snow like you did I will sue with everything I can. Nuture can send the amount of snow it wants but what you did is premedited in order to generate harm and slashing the tires is not "wrong" it is an act of violence, a criminal attack and premeditaed damage to private property. I would go against you and the city to get the money to buy a new house with it.

Psshh if you clear a spot and then leave..well, that's too damn bad. I'd park in a nice open spot any day. Just because you clear it out doesn't mean it's yours. You have to always expect someone is gonna take it. Otherwise, don't move your car. And what's with that 48 hr rule?? How is anyone supposed to know how long it's been? Open spot. I park. The end.

This is why people from all states say Bahston (Boston) people are dumb/ignorant/childish, the idiot who cleared it out 1st deserves the spot i agree, BUT didn't common sense kick in & tell you "well, since he IS from a different state MAYBE he doesn't know the parking spot law of Bahston" hmmm but i guess you think you guys are smart. LoL
