I see no problem in a 24 hour shop and filling station , every other large town has them so why can Ludlow not ? Perfect for night shift workers and for general public in emergencies.
Don't think the convenience store should be open 24 hours, but can see that a "card reader" petrol service might be useful - just in case you need to fill up, say to take someone unexpectedly to hospital. Other than that think that 6.00 a.m. to 12.00 midnight is ample.
