This is a very difficult and complex question. But my favorite band was not my choice. My favorite is Led Zeppelin but I had to give the greatest to Rolling Stones just for the fact of longevity with somewhat relevance. Even though in my opinion they haven't really done anything that I would consider "Stone-worthy" in about 30 years(Tattoo You). Music that if it wasn't "The Stones" releasing it, it probably would not get noticed as much. Even if you don't think of yourself as a fan though if you listen to their entire library you will find that there are more songs that you know and like than you thought.
