Do women need an extra “24 hours” after talking to their doctor to be sure they want an abortion?

I am old enough to remember the days before Roe vs Wade...backrooms, kitchen tables, shame, girls being "sent away" and then suddenly Mom, Aunt Susie has a new baby. Worst of all were the deaths from botched abortions. The reasons are endless including rape, incest, ectopic pregnancy, and other issues for the health of a Mother. Women do not need some politician making their life decisions for them. So much for "less intrusion" by the government. It seems women are the only ones considered too incompetent to make decisions without the help of government. The sound you hear is hypocrisy screaming. How about a 24 hr waiting period before a vasectomy or picking up your Viagra prescription?

Not everyone prays. Do you think women go into the abortion clinic without having thought upon what they're about to do? Do you think they haven't already reflected, imagined what would happen if they did or didn't go through with it? No. This is wrong.

A decision to have an abortion is one a woman must live with for the rest of her life, potentially with great regret! The 24 hour waiting period gives the woman time to pray and reflect on this momentous decision, and I cannot fathom why there would be any objection to it!
