Well I don't know what to say I think it was absolutely horrifying but on the other hand exciting and I will explain the right part was horrible I hated to seeing that there was nothing exciting about that but that scene where Jamie said he made love to him Jamie enjoyed that that's why he wants to die because he can't handle the fact that he enjoyed having sex with him and getting fucked

I thought this episode was absolutely sickening to watch. I know that Randall raped Jamie, but I thought the other heinous acts he performed made the scene even more of a nightmare.

It hurt my heart to even imagine the rape and degredation of Jamie so many times but the rape I had to fast forward through. As a woman I appreciate a strong male figure but I hate the rapist. I Won't even say the character 'so name. The whole episode ruined the season for me!

Rather torn about my impressions of the 2-part finale. Was very anxious to see how they would negotiate these very intense passages. Overall quite happy about it, but I felt a bit cheated. It seemed a bit over-simplified considering the rather horrendous things that happened and how easily they seem to get over them. I do not mean that all involved have not done a great job, but rather agree that it would have benefitted from a little more screen time as opposed to the extended dance search. Did not get that Jamie was on the verge of dying from his fever. Missed the immediate tending at McRannoch's after the escape. And although I loved to see Jamie smiling on the boat, it seemed too big a smile after such a little time has passed.
Very much looking forward to season 2 though!

This is by far the best ahow on television. Absolutely off the charts, so well done. I just can't get enough!! Bravo!

Ron Moore is such a deft weaver of his narrative. All the changes he has been faced with making to the original text have improved the pacing and depth of the characters. I much prefer his version to dr galbadone's which is sometimes just plain clumsy, but quite a story.

A truly exploitative use of sexual violence that did not appear in the book, which left the reality of the rape torture to Jamies memory. We were spared the visual horror of a sexual male on male rape.

I find some of this Directors choices to fatally flawed in not developing Clair and Jamie together. The book took the time to this very thing, focusing on their conversations. Which are charming and moving in the text.

Instead we've had a ridiculous romp around the country side with Claire singing insead of treating patients, her core identity.

Then we have my first tv experience of male frontal nudity with Jack, which was fine but totally gratuitous.

And then the rape which is presented in prime time tv. I am not impressed. At all. This Director is portraying the books I read word for word into a slice of Hollywood shockjock nudity. The ratings may soar, but to me, the manipulation of the books material into titillating biliousness demeans the material and shoit shrifts the characters who are the whole of the series. Jamie and Claire.

    Total crap Mr Director.
