I'm tired of people complaining about some "racism card". Its not an opt out. Certain things in cultures are very sacred to their culture and attempting to be sexy or warrior like because you wore a a replica of an artifact is just moronic. Stop acting like FNs are crying wolf when really they are trying to be heard over all of the racism that slips through the cracks as friendly opposition.

"This isn’t a matter of telling people what to wear. It’s a matter of telling people that they don’t wear things in a vacuum and there are many social and historical implications to treating marginalized cultures like costumes."

It is not okay. It is extremely rude and disrespectful to wear a headdress when you have not earned that right--no matter how fake your dollar store, Made in China, costume is. It's wrong. Do not do it.

The pendulum of political correctness has swung way too far. It's that the Folk Festival as decided that special interests don't always get to impose themselves on the silent majority.

If the head dress is so important, who gave up theirs for her to wear. If it is a fake then nobody should care. I am tired of people who use the racism card.
