Canned music without actual performances? Isn't this just LaserFloyd 2.0?

I went to a Barry Manilow concert for my wife's birthday last year. Givonna LOVES Barry Manilow and everyone thinks I drag her to those concerts as the white half of this marriage when she really drags me. Barry sang "I Believe in You and Me", the Whitney Houston song from The Preacher's Wife, which he had recorded as a "duets" album full of songs with him and recordings of deceased artists. While he sang live with the recording of her from 1996, a projection of THE BACK of a Black woman singer much darker and curvier than Whitney appeared on a screen over the stage, as if we were all watching her perform from our position at the piano behind her.

Shit was so disrespectful on so many levels. The holograms can't get here quickly enough.
