Carly Fiorina is a good talker, but her business record was very weak and she was named one of the worst CEO of all times... Everybody can talk, but they have to back it up with actions.. Trump was actually right about her persona.. She has a heavy voice ( like she's about to cry when she talks )...She doesn't smile and she just appears like a cold, boring and very stiff person....I am sure she has rehearsed well before debate.. That's why everything she said sounded eloquent but too practiced...I want a REAL PERSON, who can get things done and genuinely care about our country... If you think about it, DONALD TRUMP has very good judgement and vision.. Everthing he said was spot on... From Bush's low energy to Fiorina 's way of carrying herself...I am sure he will be great as a president and a tough leader of our country!!!

From what I have heard Trump would like to Increase tariffs on imported goods from other countries from around the world including American Company’s producing goods outside of the US.
He would like to lower the tax rate for all business with in the United States to entice American Companies to bring manufacturing that has gone over seas back to the USA to avoid Higher Tariffs.
It is possible that lower corporate tax rates and higher in port tariffs would attract other foreign companies to open up manufacturing plants with in the USA to avoid the import Tariffs as well so they can still have access to the American market place and stay competitive.

He wants to build a wall to help slow down illegal activity on our border. He will threaten to stop giving Mexico American Tax dollars as leverage to have them help build a wall and secure the border.
He also would like to impose a fine on business or corporation hearing illegal aliens. He would not kick all of them out. He would just require that all Illegals apply for a work permit to get them onto the tax rolls while they go through the application process and back ground check. The ones that have been in and out of the criminal justice system will be picked up and asked to leave for the good of the people in this country.

These two actions would possible cause a supply and demand issue in our country. More jobs than workers. That would mean that McDonalds would have to pay more than minimum wage like 15 dollars an hour to attract employees.

I really don't understand how people can say Donald Trump won this debate. If anything the debate proved how the presidency is far out of his league. He is racist, sexist, and elitist. Marco Rubio called him out and Trump admitted that he's a businessman and doesn't know everything about foreign policy and other political issues but that he will know by the time he is president. What? As Marco Rubio said you need to be ready for the presidency on the first day you become president, not six months in. Also, Carly Fiorina called him out on several occasions about his terrible business practices like how he had to file to bankruptcy four times because of his casinos and he couldn't even own up to that he just blamed it on the industry. Trump obviously lacks accountability for his own actions, he blatantly disrespects a large population of the American people, and he is unknowledgeable in several key areas of politics that are crucial to the presidency. Come on people just listen to what he says and stop voting for him because of his popularity. On that note, pay attention to more qualified candidates like Marco Rubio and Carly Fiorina.

It amazes me. I watched the debate and came up with my own winners. Then the media comes along and here we go again. I don't think they saw the same debate I did. If so, they would not consider Fiorini the winner. This was a Republican debate - she was not debating Clinton but you would have thought Clinton was on stage with her. I was very impressed with Rubio on foreign debate issues. I still remain in Trumps corner. I do believe he will surround himself with very sound advisors. He's got my vote.

I took a "woman" to put the doll headed freak in his place. The next debate, pants should be mandatory for all Republican candidates. If you don't like elephants, DUMP the TRUMP!

People are wanting a debate on the issues, not one where the intent is to destroy Mr Trump.

Donald Trump keeps saying he will surround himself with people who can answer the questions he can't. I want a president who can lead from his seat not looking over his shoulders for the answers.

Rand Paul was the clear winner! When given opportunity to speak he was on point! He showed respect to all unlike the other whining candidates! Stand with truth, stand with the constitution, stand with Rand!!! Wake up people trumps telling you what you want to hear just like Obama did!! Are you all really that dumb? I like to think not! God bless you all!

Trump did not win the debate from what he said last night, he won from what he has been saying all along: "Build a wall, and deport Illegals." " Make America great again." There is nothing these other candidates can say in any debate that will make them best, America's New Hero Donald Trump, in the eyes of most American Voters! Trump for Prez: Ted Cruz for Vice Prez!

It's strange how people can actually believe half the crap that Trump actually says. He only says what the people want to hear. The people are tired of normal politics so he says he is too. He tries to appeal to the religious voters by telling them the bible is his favorite book. He tries to appeal to women by telling Carly Fiorina she is a beautiful woman. But he is the most rude person on the stage. One of the first things he said was that Rand Paul shouldn't even be up there (when Rand Paul was one of the leaders of last night's debate). He isn't even the big businessman that everyone says he is. He has driven the last FOUR businesses that he has run straight into the ground (and they were not failing when he took them over). He reminds people that he is a billionaire anytime someone asks him about his failed businesses because he wants to hide the fact that he got out safe, leaving the business and all of its employees for themselves. If you people want a good businessman, vote Carly Fiorina. She knows more about the game than Trump does. She isn't rude to everyone she meets. Do you actually want someone who makes enemies where ever they go to be the most powerful man in the world? NO! Personally I favor Marco Rubio. He is a young fresh guy with lots of good ideas (which are not far fetched like Trumps).

If Trump gets the Republican nomination, I think we should all be ashamed that we have stooped to such a low, unprofessional, embarrassing level as Americans. If that is how he is going to talk to others at a Presidential level, then I'm voting Democrat.

some say trump didn't have all the details of his plan and that he had better be ready when and if he becomes President on the first day and that is true. Trump isn't going to just throw out answers just to please the people and the debate team if he isn't 100% sure of the answers. He and his team of very intelligent people are working on all of his plans and im quite certain by the next debate he will have some solid answers for most issues. the other people on that stage have been in politics their entire lives and I would expect them to know more about policies than trump does at this stage of the game because if they didn't, then they have wasted the peoples time. Trump certainly knows a lot more than they do about business. give it time folks...because once Trump has all his ducks in a row...there will be no stopping him and he will become one of the greatest Presidents we have ever had.

Many politicians know how to polish their talks very well and sound quite impressive. At the end, many cannot deliver their promises. We are at a different times in need of a "different" leadership. Donald Trump is a straight talker who can be deemed as "offensive' at times, but it also shows the quality that he can't be bought by lobbyists or special interest parties. His direct and sincere approach with no strings attached is a breath of fresh air. No wonder he has received non-stop attacts from various directions, and it will continue so. Blame him not for attacting back because he IS a strong man standing by his beliefs and values. He could have chosen to be a happy successful billionaire enjoying his own fortune at home. But, no. Thanks God that he chooses to come out and prepares to fearlessly fight against inefficiency, deterioration, and corruption - even facing people who have tried to belittle him - in order to change the world and make America great again, as he believes.

Choose our next President wisely. We don't fall for the same political talks that leads to empty promises this time. We need a different leader who has an unique quality we need in this times. A strong leader who actually delivers a tract record of success in his own field yet has the passion and ability to expand to benefit the world, who will tirelessly find a resolution even he doesn't have all the answers today, who means what he said even it may not be always politically correct which showing the traits of someone who can and will deliver his promisses, and who also demonstrates he is "a man of faith" in which he stands by his values, principles, and beliefs just like every one of us do and believe the right and freedom to be so. Trump is that a different, unique, and strong leader we need today!

All trump did was beat around the bush in almost every question. All his statements inquired that he was a business man. How are most people voting for him? He makes remarks and acts as if they were not offensive. He's made this election look like a circus. His response as to what he would do about Prime minister Putin was that he "would talk to him" because he is good at talking to people . The trump supporters are clearly not educated enough to know what a leader looks like compared to a successful business man who has to work his way up the presidential polls by causing major negative attention on himself. It's sad that people support his negative attitude and remarks toward immigrants. We are all immigrants of some kind.

Trump lost because this debate wasn´t about Trump. It was about policy issues. So Trump didnt get the chance to use much of his predictable high school drama tactics.

  • vicki l Newman - 9 years ago

Please, of course the politicians had all the answers, that's what they do. Carly was well rehearsed, but seemed cold and calculated.Dr.Carsen a brilliant man but way to passsive. But Donald was on the defense all night, but never backed down on his answers. He honestly believes what he says and says what he means. Trumps for real!

If you ask me all the GOP candidates sounded immature except for John Kasich. When it comes to being logical and practical John Kasich and Rand Paul both far exceed the others. Regarding Fiorina hate to admit it but have to agree with Trump plus she seems like a very mean person just like the GOP women candidates before her. Trump could of said a lot worse but chose to be more subtle about it because one thing comes to mind just by looking at her. Both Scott Walker and Ted Cruz clearly not ready for presidency by listening to their responses. Rubio seems like he does know his stuff but far too inexperienced as his supposed actions as president are far too similar to Cruz and Walker which are not really practical.

The Presidency is not a popularity contest but a competency contest! The candidate we should be supporting is the person that best understands the word and intent of the Constitution as intended by the framers. Why? Because it is to that mission that he/she will make a solemn oath to support and defend.
You want someone who will spit on it and be a puppet for the rich and powerful? Someone who likes to party and play golf at our expense? Want someone who can be bribed with lobbyist money and influence? Or is all you care about your own piece of government largess? Your portion of legal plunder?
When will the US voter choose liberty over largess?
There is only one candidate that understands his limited authority and role as Chief Executive. You know it and I know it. But will you stand with our republic in supporting Rand Paul?
Does anyone expect FOX or other media to do anything not based on ratings? It's their bottom line after all.
You know the major media is controlled by its owners, advertisers and editorial boards.
News is geared largely toward entertainment of the viewer.
Until you turn off the TV and start doing your own independent research you will be no better informed than the networks want you to be.
Start today! It's your future after all.

So interesting.. Listening to the cnn folks discuss the debate..they seem to praise fiorina, bush, and those that a Clinton candidate will easily and handily crush in a debate. Perhaps we should pay more attention to who the left is willing to praise..these will not win a presidency. The left and center right do however seek to belittle and diminish a Donald Trump. Wonder why?? Perhaps they know he can and will beat any and every democrat.

  • Alex - 9 years ago

Trump won the debate, but I actually enjoyed listening to Cruz tonight. To me, Cruz knows how to talk and present yourself when addressing a nation

  • Condi - 9 years ago

Trump is The clear leader in this debate and among All these candidates! Shame..they seem so weak and insignificant. Carly fiorina seemed angry and sour tonite! As a woman of her age I can't connect with her at all! Trump rules with Cruz in a close second!!

  • Margaret Hokokian - 9 years ago

Florina appeared mean. I think she can be a nasty person she can't get along with people. Defensive mean spirted and vindictive. I wouldn't want her as our president
