What grade do you give the premiere of ABC's 'Quantico'?

Who pick these characters? You have a main character who looks like she is from "Bollywood",chick wearing a Berka, and a Religious nut in the
FBI Academy! I'm all for diversity, but none of these people would get through the hiring process! The trick to these type of show is "realistic drama!"

Pilots are difficult to make as creators must introduce the characters while setting up the plot and somehow also find time to create those relatable moments that make people love the story.

Even with that in mind, this show was EPIC FAIL.

It seems like most of the characters just walked right off the set of Greys Anatomy and continued what they were doing in Quantico.

Nothing was even remotely realistic, nor original.

The characters seemed to be going out of their way to be as fake, overdone, trite and hackneyed as possible. And yes, that includes the classic "broken inside" veteran that's just wallowing in his PTSD and wrestling those inner demons for all to see because Dog-Gone if it sexy. Yup, never seen that done before on a TV franchise (sarcasm).

And how about that psycho Mormon right? Let's be sure and broadcast something that actual, real Mormon's consider to be extremely sacred, and then immediately portray the Mormon character as a MURDEROUS, POLYGAMIST-PEDOPHILE.

I realize that without some "bad guys" you can't have any "good guys" and therefor you have a "bad show". And I am not a Mormon myself, however I do feel that any series that broadcasts things that a given culture holds to be sacred is tacky, especially because they could have established the character as Mormon in a million other ways. But you have to wonder if the show wasn't counting on the fact that portraying the Mormons sacred outfit would create a scandal and result in free publicity and a boost to their viewers. People love a good scandal.

Fun Fact: If you've ever watched an episode of Grey's Anatomy while simultaneously watching an episode of Bones on a separate screen, you've seen the entires series of Quantico.

But anyway, to use something that a bunch of people feel sacred about and turn it into a scandal for the free publicity and then top it all off with....wait for it.......annnnd......."Surprise, I'm a Mormon who is secretly psycho and a murderous pedophile, OK I'm going to go and shoot some lady and then stick a gun in my mouth and pull the trigger now buh bye!"

Ironically, most of the people who would typically decry the blatantly discriminatory stigmatization that occurred in this episode aren't going to say a thing. Because it's cool to hate Mormons, Hollywood hates Mormons, so I do too.

Now, one thing that Quantico really did get right was the realism involved. For example, the uniforms that consisted of a button-up Henley t-shirt (like what you'd see a male model wearing in a fruit of the loom advertisement) and some "tacticool" tan cargo pants.

Once the candidates were thus properly dressed, they began to show us what it would be like if there was a Quantico for high schoolers, living in college dorms along with the occasional Murderous-Mormon.

The portrayal of the legendary training ground of Quantico was dead-on, I'm sure. Watching the show, I really felt like I was there, like I was in the FBI too and my roommate was an unbelievably sexy unicorn named "Stabby Horse"......damn....that Stabby Horse is so hot right now.

This show sucks. Do yourself a favor and turn on some C-Span.

    The End.
