Perhaps, since I am not too familiar with this type of action film, I have difficulties relate myself with the plots and ideas. There are few things that I would like to point out.

First of all, the plot settings, particularly the hostages. In most of the Hollywood films that I have watched, the hostages are treated cruelly. They are either killed or tortured by the scoundrels. Every time when scenes like that happen, I would be really scared behind the screen but at the same time enjoy being tortured by watching how others are suffering. However, in The Taking of Pelham 123, I did not experience such feeling. I was waiting for that moment which someone would get in a huge trouble by trying to escape from the train to pop most of the time. Yet, that moment does not really come since the scoundrels are being "nice" towards people on the train. Perhaps, I am comparing it with most of the scary kidnap scenes from other films, the contrary is relatively obvious.

Second of all, I am amazed by how profession the film deals with the US subway system. Everything is acted in real. Not only the casts but the entire production team were well-trained before the shooting. By showing the movie image interrupting with the real trains moving in the subway, the film has vividly presented the realistic feeling and excitement. And I did enjoy watching the film while feeling involved with the fact that I was in the place as well.

Overall, although I am not able to relate myself too much with the film since I barely watch this type of movie, it did bring my excitements in a lot of plots. The shooing skills in the subway system in America is incredible in a way that it has successfully made the film profoundly convincible and real.
