I am not a pro-Steve harvey nor anti-Steve harvey. Base on my observations, people may make mistakes whether we like it or not. Every mistakes has its own consequences. I believe it is just an awful incident. We must learn from the people's mistakes in order not to happen it again into our lives. We must analyse and understand the cause behind of his mistakes. It is also a normal reaction that people may disappoint or criticise Steve Harvey of his mistakes of the event. Let them criticise until they will realise what if it will happen to them in a certain event? How will they face this certain awful situation? I believe Steve harvey is a strong man of accepting his mistakes but yet reckless due to the damage he have done to the emotions of the contestants. I hope he will learn his lessons. He should not be punish because he sincerely accept his mistakes. But if he did it again on the other events, there is something wrong of his actions and it should be corrected immediately. I hope that It will be a lesson to learn for everyone that we must be mentally, emotionally, and spiritually prepared in order to minimise this kind of terrible mistakes. It is obvious that people makes mistakes, but it should be corrected and not to be tolerated. It will be prevented through learning other's mistake and through anticipating the consequences of a certain action.
Harvey has no caliber to judge.He looks so awkward during the contest,unlike the previous hosts, so relax and full of smiles.This guy,Harvey should have not been the host.He was facing the entire world and his mistake is unpardonable by the government of Colombia.The contest should have been hosted by a young and handsome American.There must two hosts for one head especially if brainless head is not enough.Human error is not an excuse.He should have been very careful and read everything.The damaged has been done and hard to repair shame of Miss Colombia and the struggle of Miss Philippines.It's a struggle, of course, it is not easy to see someone heart broken.

That's a stupid question that follows a really, really stupid mistake. I suppose you can generate a conspiracy theory among 30% of the people over whether Elvis Pressley is still alive and serving as president of Ubangia. Practice and rehearsals are held to prevent a really idiotic mistake like the one made by Steve Harvey. There's no excuse and no justification for that having happened! Apparently Steve even misspelled the writing of the names of the two countries involved! JUST READ WHAT'S WRITTEN! That will avoid the problem.

I think this was all scripted, because, if he made that mistake, why the judges didn't say anything right away, why he had to step out and come back, I don't think it was a mistake. Horrible!!!!

My objection with Steve Harvey is not only his lack of knowledge to host this show, but his objectifying women as sexual objects throughout the broadcast. He came across as most interested in the swimsuit contest, which he alluded to as most watched by men. It wasn't funny. He sets back the moral fiber of the show by 20 years. Again, this guy should never host any show that showcases women. He is an affront to women's dignity. Let someone without swimsuit fetish host the show next time, in addition to somebody who is willing to do his homework prior to the broadcast.

No Angie, Steve did not "wait until Miss C cried from being erroneously" from the two (Col, PHil) were left for final announcement, the tears were flowing! I thought it was corrected in good time. What if it were after presenting all the prizes? Luckily it had reached just flowers n crown! Hats off to Miss C though she was gracious in stooping to hand over the crown; great upbringing by her parents/guardians or whomever groomed the queens! THINGS HAPPEN! Again, great, great show.

Perhaps he was not briefed before hand on how to handle winners, and this can be the organizers fault.
I am sorry for Ms. Columbia, tho its really embarrassing but I salute her being a sports lady, after all she is also a winner.
Proud of Pia, from Philippines where i came from too, she never realized shes the winner, however she deserves the crown.

It was a mistake...Harvey read the wrong winner. The cue card showing correct sequence of winners from 2nd, first, then the Miss Universe winner. I can tell there was sometning wrong after the crown was placed on Miss Columbia's head....she was supposed to walk around but instead stood still waiting for command...the camera was also waiting....as soon as Steve Harvey said the first word, then I knew there was a mistake....the crowd just went live. I felt so bad for Miss Columbia and Miss Philippines for the embarassment and for the confussion. Both women stood strong and poised and handled the situation very well.

Nothing can stop me from loving Steve. As a fellow responder said, he got distracted after those loud shouts! This was no pre-arranged stunt; shame on persons for thinking that that error would "give the show more attention!" We are human and humans make mistakes because we aren't perfect. My 1-2-3 was Miss USA, Phillipines then Columbia. Miss Columbia is a beautiful girl; however, she blundered in her walk (maybe over confident), and her response to the final question was a non-answer as she kept going around in circles - pure wordiness and even using a word twice for thrice as she grappled for words to answer a simple question! I would not choose Miss Phillipines to win but since Miss USA missed it, then definitely it would have been her. LOVE YOU STEVE ; you are one of the best hosts I have seen for Miss Universe!! Really enjoyed YOU. All the best Miss Phillipines!

It was a mistake due to a quick distraction, I think Miss Colombia didn't showed any excitement, maybe she was in disbelieve. She was very polite at Miss Philippines who is the real Miss Universe. She won in courtesy, other in her place would cry the whole night. She is a very strong woman who faced a difficult situation with courage, full control keeping her beauty. Congratulations to both queens.

I have watched pageants for as long as i can remember, i'm 55 years old and LOVE Steve Harvey but this was a TERRIBLE , TERRIBLE mistake... I had chose Miss USA to take first place... So deserving.... After she was named 3rd , I picked Miss Philippines to win.. So SAD for Miss Columbia... After Celebrating , The Flowers, The Crown and The Walk , To take it all away is just a SICK day for her, She is probably still in SHOCK.. They LIVE and BREATH This Day ....
