Yo Julie, go take your comment and shove it up a cows vagina. You're probably some over-privileged city girl feminist who knows nothing about the ranching lifestyle. It's a business at its core that requires a very strict work ethic. I watched this with my dad - we both laughed our asses off and can relate very well to Ashton and Sam's characters, and I'm sure thousands of other people do to. You clearly have the minority opinion so please keep it to yourself.

I emphatically disagree with Julie. I love it! I think it's hilarious and I can't wait to see the upcoming episodes. I used to live in ranching country and this sitcom nails the small town, football centric, going to the bar every night, people who work hard and are tough as nails. I don't think this shows that men only think about women for sex. Even though there is a lot of guy talk, each man's character portrays that he can appreciate and does appreciate women for more than just sex.

Yeah, Ashton's character isn't successful in his pro football career, but neither character is a loser. If you've ever spent ANY AMOUNT OF TIME working on a ranch and living that life, THERE IS NO WAY you can EVER consider a rancher as "a loser". These people live hard, play hard, but work even harder! Aston, growing up in Iowa, probably gave a lot of insight to the lifestyle from his own experience.

Additionally, this IS a sitcom, so there's going to be some silliness, or it WOULDN'T Be a comedy! Oh, and Julie's comment about young people learning to be first rate losers is just RIDICULOUS!!!!

Well, since you lost Julie and her highly-evolved and enlightened self, you've got me and many, many others who love it.

Kudos to all on the show!

This series only proves that Ashton cannot act. He was great in The Guardian, but, he is horrible in this show. I get the parents situation, but the two boys are lacking in any intelligence. The show only depicts the common consensus men have about women--only good for sex. I would love to watch a show where the men don't act so stupid because it's like that out here in the real world. The boys are losers, and they take advantage of what both parents have accomplished. If this is comedy than I'm a Martian. You have a good concept, just clean it up. Matter of fact, I won't watch anymore of this series if you keep it on the same note. Young people are watching this crap and are learning how to be first rate losers. Sam Elliot and Debra Winger hit their characters spot on. She made a very good observation when she said if only the boys would get their act together. She was right to leave because her boys are nothing but losers. Really, to the writers, do you really think people want to watch trash like that? Well, you lost one viewer with what you call entertainment. I get the feeling Ashton is like that in real life because he plays the part so well.
