In up board there is not correct checking so the intelligent is not gain the 75% in the board so don't weightage on the mark of class 12th

I think this is correct of not giving weightage to board marks in jee mains becoz board marks restricts us to some formulas whereas jee enhances our knowledge .It makes our logics so strong that a student is able to become an excellent engineer like Sunder Pichai (iitian).

    I have two simple points.
    1. The decision was not communicated at all through schools. I was not aware.
    2. Now this Govt needs to explain if you yourself not give weightage to School exams then why will students care. The things u want to convey as govt to its young citizens wIll not b heard bcoz we will be at coaching classes and dummy school. And how will it help rural peopl? Can they afford to go to coaching institution, if yes then they need to be urban.
    Total illogical conclusion. Poor show.

Actress of SAS BHI KABHI BAHU THI.
Have no any sense. What should have to do for people... Bcz she is fool lady.but her destiny to keep her in parliament... Now a days really come in near future when a porn star to take decision for students. And finally they will take decision and our pornhub Parliament passes them... And they ruled on local people - decision is that sex is important so students of iits freely did sex with girl students of iits & various prestigious college s

In my views I think that board marks should be taken into consideration. Since if board marks are not taken into consideration students will be much more dependent on coaching rather than going to school and I think that scoring 75% or above in cbse is not a very difficult task and can be done without going to school. So normalisation should be there

This is such a great news. I think this is the best decision they have ever made. Now the students going into Nits will be worthy and not someone who can byheart everything and get a 95% in boards. Thankyou so much for thinking about us.

But mam, i think the boundataion of 75% is not fair. I know 75% looks a lot less to you guys but there are students with exceptational brains who fail to secure 75% in boards. This maybe the result of tough checking by the teachers or not being able write answers in boards like they want even after knowing the concept behind the answers. Its all aboit concepts, engineers need concepts not lengthy answers that one can memorize. But if you want a boundation, you can make it 65% .

I hope this msg reaches Smriti Irani mam. I request the creator of this website to please work for it. Afterall our opinions matter too.

    Thankyou.

I m agree with the govt’s decision to not give weightage to Class XII board marks in JEE (Main). Thank you Smititi Irani Mam. But one thing i will say that there should be no boundation of 75 % of board to take admission because manytimes a student performes in JEE very well but he doesn't get admission in IITs due to 75 % boundation. Manytimes happens that board examiners check the copy badly so a student do not get 75 % in board so he becomes unable for JEE.
Dear Mam i have a request you that you should also remove 75 % boundation from JEE if you think it deeply. I understand your purpose. But this boundation is not good. If you can hear me, then you should take action one more time. Because i have also well prepared for JEE but i didn't get 75 % in board due to general marking in my board. Next year 2017 i cann't take admission in NITs because i got only 73% in my board. My career is stopped because of only and only board percentage.
Hopefully you should take action. I will be thankful you.
    Thanks Mam

this will help talented and will discourage copying menace spread all over board exam centers (private) earn more for allowing copying by selected and rich ones central Government should conduct entrance tests for all posts at its level but there should be no paper leaks important remove menace of reservation now do Laloos Mayawatis Yadavs ...... still deserve reservation?

  • Sriram - 8 years ago

It is should be implemented from 2019 onwards. In between the term, it will make chaotic for the student and they have been preparing for entrance test based on the present system 60% + 40 % weightage for the last two years.

Government should take these type of decision well in advance not within mid-term of preparation

The only reason for including class XII marks was because many students were not attending classes regularly & this meant many schools did not have enough attendance. The schools were losing out on their fees & Sibal obliged them forcing students to study plenty of unwanted subjects as well. What is needed is a major reform of the school board exams where marks are awarded for memory & not for understanding.
