No! His past has nothing to do with the incident at the zoo.
Yes. It's part of reporting to give background info on parties involved.
This is clearly racist. This is what they always do to Black people...try to point out something negative.
Nobody would have known about him or his past if the mother hadn't gone on social media and issued a statement. This is her fault for not remaining anonymous.
