Kara deserves so much better than this mayo fool lmao bye u straights with ur toxic ships

Mon-El challenges Kara more than any villain she faces. It is obvious that she has feelings for him and to be completely truthful I have shipped them so hard since day one. All of Kara's other relationships that she has been in so far failed give the girl a break and let her be happy for once. Allow her to put her own happiness first for once. Kara and Mom-El are my opt and a teen-vibe romance could do her some good.

I think this is a phenomenal pairing no matter what anybody says. You may hate MonEl but I appreciate the way he makes Kara feel happier, like there is not as much weight on her shoulders, and less alone because she has a fellow alien. Kara is learning to have more FUN with him! She got DRUNK with him. She is so responsible it's nice to see her not be. Now how Kara helps MonEl, well she obviously makes him a better person and realize his wrongdoings, helps him fit in, and makes him feel wanted, she also makes him happy and gives some of the responsibility to him. They are both less alone now, and understand each others struggles with having their old homes blown apart and, again, fitting in in a new world. I don't understand how anybody could NOT ship them!!! Anyway, I hope you liked my opinion on this

Kara deserves better. So much better. Mon-el needs to go back to being her sidekick bc this show was supposed to be girl- centric and he is completely undermining Kara as a person and a hero. He has said countless things to prove he goes ahainst everything the show stands for. He has told Kara shes only a hero for the glory and hes even said it was much easier to be in his hime planet, objectifying women. Literally anyone would be better. James has always believed in Kara and empowered her to be the strong hero she is. Lena called Kara Danvers, not supergirl, her hero as opposed to mon-el calling her his kryptonite, which makes no sense bc his weakness is lead. Even Lucy Lane and Cat Grant have more chemistry with Kara! If you want a straight white ship, Winn would be so much better. He has always believed in Kara and never undermined her. Mon-el is a misogynistic frat boy who takes away from everyone else's storyline, including kara's. Kara deserves better people.

Mon El is a disgusting, toxic piece of shit. Kara is isolated from everybody and left alone, with everybody else moving on with their lives, Mon-shit is the only person she can fall back on and he's just not a reliable person. He's self indulgent, bland and just overall incredibly tedious. He does literally everything for himself and his own desires, and he's trying to become a superhero for all of the wrong reasons; just to impress Kara. Kara should either be single so that the focus can be on her character development, or she should get with a character that she has chemistry with and is actually interesting, e.g Lena. Mon El is completely ruining the show and cutting out characters like James, Alex, Maggie, J'onn and Winn. He needs to die

I m really loving this season and i totally ship Kara with Mon -El. They look soo cute together n Mon -El is so funny n charismatic...I feel Mon - El is best for Kara. Kara n James pairing is boring ..sorry

I love Mon el's personality. He has great chemistry whether he's playing the screw up, the probie- superhero-in-training, or Kara' s sidekick. He fits. Chris Wood is doing a phenomenal job playing this character. He gives Supergirl the opportunity to lighten up once in a while, but can get down to business when needed.

I liked the sibling-ish relationship they had before. They were incredibly fun that way. All those funny moments will be gone now. I want them back.

I am really going to pour my feelings into this Kara and monel are from two different worlds.(haha) literally. Kara has so much responsibility while monel has Very few. However, opposites attract! Kara is less stressed when monel is around he knows how to make her laugh and try new things. everytime she is around him she can't help but smile or be mad because he keeps protecting her and she doesn't realize how much he just wants to keep her safe. Monel on the other hand, has so many feelings for Kara (as shown in 2/10) he was willing to change his party going ways because she brings out the best in him.she lights up his world and I don't care what anyone's says they have a connection that cannot be broken. He changed his selfish ways and is now willing to risk his life for humans and Kara I mean come on how could you not love a man or alien lol that will change his whole nature just to please the women he loves. Without monel I seriously think That Kara would have already broke down. Have you noticed that she smiles more and is not as stressed out when she is around him? I am pretty positive that Kara cares for monel as well but hasn't had time to think about it because she is always saving the world. What I am trying to say is they are better together i mean they already fight like a married couple. Btw getting ready to watch the flash cuz I'm a nerd so I'm am not proofing this sorry for not having a lot of punctuation I typed this before I lost my train of thought.

I'm only going to say this... I view Kara and Mon-el as Beauty and the Beast. If it worked with the disney pair, it can perfectly work with Kara and Mon-el. Kara makes Mon-el want to be a better person, and Mon-el helps Kara to see the good where it wasn't obviously at first. They both grow with each other. And you cannot complain that Mon-el is taking the focus out of Supergirl, if she obviously as more screen time than any other character on the show, and rightfully so. The show only exists because of her. Now, characters cannot be one dimensional, that would be boring, so Kara as the right to have various things happening in her life: friends, family, work, missions and even a romantic interest. It doesnt mean that one thing as to take from the other, but sometimes one requires temporarily more attention. And if she has people around her, they need to be real too, and have those things too. They need to serve a purpose, have a reason to be there too. Characters should be seen first of all as people, with qualities, flaws and personalities, and gender and race should be secundary. So it would be unffair to create a relationship just for the sake of external qualities, these being equal or different. I feel that Kara and Mon-el can grow more together than each with any other character on the show. And that doesn't mean that they need to be necessarily in a relationship, but they need to interact with each other. Because they have so much in common, which can't be duplicated with any human, but at the same time they have so much that sets them appart.

Mon-el and Kara have superb chemistry and I really like Mon-el's character arc. He's not perfect and has room for a lot of personal improvement, but so what, perfect characters are boring. Stories are about obstacles to be overcome, and I'm looking forward to see how Kara and Mon-el will grow and evolve together.

Mon-El character bore me to death. How some people says he is a great character is beyond me. Are these people blind or what?. He’s a selfish, misogynistic and so bland. He’s been awful to Kara on multiple occasions doesn’t give two shits about anyone but himself and his own desires. His mentality is like 5 years old kids. Only stupid people would date someone like him. Jeez are some people really that blind?. Kara Danvers deserves better not someone like him. Btw I don't think Kara Danvers need a man in her life. I mean, common she is a Spergirl ffs aka a Girl of Steel. She need to be a single and she is got more important to do like saving people life and save earth from alien. And this is a Supergirl show it shouldn't be about romantic plotline besides man on this show are useless and powerless. So... Mon-El who?.

I feel like a lot of people only hate on Mon-el because he's not a minority. The same thing happened when Winn had his thing (and maybe still does) for Kara. I have never seen any hate on Kara and Jimmy. It is frusturating to see people say "the show is about Kara, not Mon-el". If that is true, I guess we should not only kick Mon-el off the show, but we should also kick off Winn, Alex, Maggie, Jimmy, Lena, etc. While we're at it, why not kick Iris off The Flash? And Felicity off of Arrow? You know what, from now on lets just make every tv show and movie a one (wo)man show? And of course that one person will have to be lesbian, black, female. I am all about representation, but, come on guys. Are there not alowed to be any straight & white relationships anymore? I see a lot of people shipping Lena and Kara (Supercorp) and I don't understand how you can sit here and say they have more chemistry than Mon-el and Kara. It's simply not true. I feel like another reason people don't ship Karamel is because they want Kara to be with a woman. I get it, but we already have Sanvers. You want to make Alex, Maggie, AND Kara all gay/bisexual? Hate to break it to you, but it wont happen. The show already focused on one coming out story, they aren't going to do it again. I am not upset because people don't ship Kara and Mon-el, but because he is such a great character and has so muh story to explore, yet everyone keeps hating on him. Disapponted.

I don't think Kara and Jimmy were lauded (by critics or viewers) for their chemistry (I think having an interracial pairing was the goal at that time).

I think a very vocal (in social media, that is) segment of the fandom just want Supergirl to be a homosexual, miss Cat Grant's character, wish Lena Luthor was a regular and would romance Supergirl, or would prefer Mon-El to be any color but white, that's why Mon-El gets hated on. (I remember the time when it was Winn who gets trashed, now it's Mon-El)

I don't think Mon-El's character is terrible. The actor playing him can act well. But Mon-El does have a lot of growing up to do if he is to be tolerated at best by a fraction of the aforementioned vocal fans who want more than 1 pair of lesbian romance on the show and want him dead because Supergirl is a show about woman empowerment.

As for the general audience (a.k.a. the regular viewers who never read the comics nor bother to write opinions on a fictional tv show online), I doubt if they even care what gender or race Supergirl dates.

Kara deserves so much better than to be used to prop up mon el's storyline. Especially in her own show

  • jackie - 7 years ago

Kara deserves so much better if she needs to be paired with someone.. which right now I dont think so. She is more concerned with finding her purpose and I think thats great. When and if she does want to be in a relationship she deserves someone who is an equal.

  • sarajane - 7 years ago

Mon-El is the worst new TV character ever. Need to be sent to phantom zone asap. His screen time is ruined Supergirl show. Supergirl is about Girl of Steel not about Mon-Hell development character. So, he just need to go.

  • Nah yo - 7 years ago

Mon-el needs his own show so he can fuck off and leave Kara alone

  • sara - 7 years ago

We had this amazing show about a young woman trying -and being- the hero she wants to be. Being stronger for herself and for the people in the city that needs her, and now all this second season is about is Kara babysitting mon el, Kara teaching him how to be a hero and an "ordinary" person, Kara standing there for mon el, Kara being HIS"romantic interest". This season feels like she's a supporting character for mon el's development rather than the leading character on the show.

  • Hella - 7 years ago

Mon-El is a terrible character... he degrades Kara at every turn and is an awful match for her. He's frankly boring as hell too and I wish the show would sideline him for more interesting characters like Lena. All of the great character development for Kara from s1 has gone away in favor of trying to push this boring, trope-filled romance and it's honestly ruining a lot of the shows charm.
