I was very disappointed also. I waited on unlocking ted until I had some of the other buildings unlocked, they were not pre-dropping items so it didn't help except when I did unlock him I expected them to start dropping regularly. In 7 days I didn't even have half the items needed to unlock him. Like you said because posters and I think masks for me were a problem. I have been playing for years, and try to play freemium but have spent money in the past. I won't be playing at all if this continues.
I waited 3 days before a vest would drop and that was with spending clams to speed it up without any luck. I had all the other challenges completed days before Ted expired, but I missed out because vests very rarely dropped. I understand the game is "freemium" but this really feels like TinyCo is forcing us to spend money to even play the basic game. Time to move on...
I spent 200 Clams trying to get enough vests and was 3 shy when the timer ran out. I was very ticked and all. My MSGs to tiny co help fell on deaf ears and got form letter responses.
HAD AMPLE AMOUNT OF TIME, SHOULD HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM UNLOCKING TED HOW EVER BY THE TIME THE TIMER WAS UP STILL HAD TO BUY FOR 270+CLAMS....... I QUIT PLAYING THE EVENT. VERY DISAPPOINTED I BOUGHT BILL AND THEY WANT YOU TO BUY ANOTHER GUY PLUS STATUES! DUDE NOT PAY $50:FOR ONE EVENT. I GUESS EVERYONE IS RIGHT, TIME TO ENVEST TIME INTO ANOTHER GAME, KINDA SUCKS.
