Ive Seen All The Steeler Greats Since The 70's and All the Super Bowls. ALL THAT SAID WE HAVE ALOT BIASED STEELER FANS!!! IN YOUR HEART U WILL CHOOSE GAME CHANGER HARD HITTING MEL BLOUNT (57 ints)AND THE SUPER BOWLS BUT HE ALSO PLAYED WITH HALL-FAMERS.Troy Polamalu will be a future Hall -Famer. SUPER BOWL WINNER OF FEW.A free Lancer On Defense, Good Tackler for the most part,Risk Taker, whom wasnot A Ball-Hawk even if he got his fair share of ints(32)..Truth to be Told THE GREATEST STEELER DEFENSIVE BACK ALL-TIME IS ROD WOODSON, HALL-FAMER WITH 71 INTS-(3rd All-Time)12ints for TDs(most All-Time) in Top 5 NFL ALL TIME in yards by int.BALL -HAWKIN PLAYMAKER ,PRO BOWLER PUNT RETURNER. WHOM HAD 10yrs in the Black -n- Yellow(38ints w/Pitt. Whom Should've ended his career in Pitt. STEELERS being stubborn, and Cheap didnot want to pay Their Best Db At the Time.,for Bums Donnell Wolford and draft Chad Scott to Replace Woodson. Sound Like familiar Story Today at Pittsburgh. WOODSON didnot win SUPERBOWL w/Pitt cuz team Didnot Have Good QB. Eventually won SUPERBOWL w/Ravens and STEELER FANS HATE ON ROD WOODSON, STEELER FANS DRINK THE HATER RAID !.! Ive Been A Die - Hard STEELER FAN since The 70's!..

Troy was just so much more to the D. He almost did what he wanted to. Troy didn't just play the he felt it no one did that better than 43. That's what made him so special. He was always in the right place at the. Please tell me who did that better

I knew this was going to happen. Mel Blount had an 11 int season...after the rule changes. Im sorry Mel is number 1.

Donnie Shell was as good as Troy. But not featured like Troy was. Look it up. But without a doubt the greatest was Mel Blount. Rule changer

The three names here are all the best of the best. However they changed the rules of the game because the way Mel Blount played. Troy was so athletic and fast he was a game changer. Rod Woodson is in a small group of successful players the Steeler's did not resign. I wish he had played Free Safety for us late in his career. I have not followed him like I have Troy and Mel who do many things for their communities. I believe there is another name Butler that is a hall of famer who had 50 plus interception

If you check back Blount brought about the illegal touch rule in 1977. Very few others played as physical as Blount.
