I first off want to realize how important this is, not only for the show, but the fans as well. From his debut as Adam Newman, Michael Muhney captivated audiences with his sheer talent, effortless performance and his impeccable knack for timing and quick wit....not to mention his charm and vulnerability. Michael turned Adam Newman into a diamond.........strong, beautiful and multi faceted. You loved to hate him as much as you hated to love him and you supported him through the tumultuous roller coaster ride that is Adam Newman's life. And let's be honest, when he was on screen, you couldn't take your eyes off of him, he captured the essence of that character like few have been able to do before him, and few will do after him........ Michael was born to play Adam Newman........and a ton of other people feel the same was as I do. His final scenes on the show with Billy Miller, will easily go down in history as one of the greatest and most emotional scenes in daytime history. Those two together on screen were fire. Two brilliant actors who brought out the best in each other and raised the bar for those they worked with on a daily basis. Michael was a perfectionist and it showed, he was gifted at his craft of acting, and his performances showed it every day. I remember hearing that Michael had been let go from the show, and I was in tears.....for days. I knew that the show would never be the same without him, and to this day, I stand by my word.
