I am a share holder (tax payer) of the city of Calgary corporation and according to it's charter (the election act) I HAVE A DAMM SAY AS TO WHAT DEALS MY CORPORATION IS ENTERING INTO !!! these councilors who have no knowledge whatsoever of any corporate negotiations are not qualified to negtio8humdreds of millions of dollars on my behalf.

Definitely closed. Significant deals of business people are always behind closed doors. The 8 - 7 City Council should be the last one to know and only when a deal has been made.

Absolutely, the negotiations, should they proceed once again, should be held outside of the public and media view, just like any other business deal negotiations. Especially if it helps to get a deal done and shovels in the ground ASAP!
