Cool beans! It's been ages since anypony bothered to vote-bomb one of these polls. 8^D
Medicine Cat - 6 years ago
There's no need to invoke conspiracy theories. I mean, a pony who can swap alicorn's cutie marks is certainly capable of juggling a few votes, no? I mean, if she wanted to. Which of course she wouldn't. Probably.
FritzRolle732 - 6 years ago
C'mon guys! Sunset Shimmer is way better!
swestar - 6 years ago
ok people that get genuinely upset over the results of a pony poll really need to stop taking the show so seriously tbh
??? - 6 years ago
Willing to call it a draw at 4000 each?
Starlight fan - 6 years ago
I want Starlight to win I really do but even I can see her votes jump at high margin. I've voted maybe three time every day for her so far but this was insane. At first it was about 3 to 5 to sunset advantage and the occasional neither. Now you can refresh and see them both grow at high speed. I say lets stop now call it a tie and have another where we only can vote once. I don't feel right bragging about Starlight if she wins like this.
laska - 6 years ago
@anon
It has been the same for both of them, when one of them falls behind, the other suddenly gets more votes, so I don't think Starlight's been more rigged than Sunset's, but whathever they both win in my book regardless of the outcome.
negrofaggot - 6 years ago
delusional as always huh? screech some more.
anon - 6 years ago
There was way more rigging for Starlight, since she cannot stand a chance against Sunset in fair voting and falls behind every time the spammers leave the poll alone.
negrofaggot - 6 years ago
@anon
that applies to Sunset Shimmer votes as well. stop acting like hillary voters and accept for what is is, you whiney faggot.
anon - 6 years ago
The rigging is so blatant it's hilarious. An hour ago Starlight was 100 votes behind, now suddenly she's 50 votes ahead. Totally legit. This poll is a sham, I want this site's staff to recognize this when the poll closes.
Veryoriginalponyname - 6 years ago
Okay, this is probably the most fun I've had watching a poll. Too bad it's probably because of some waifu warriors spamming on both sides. I'm pulling for Sunset, but like I said before, it's gonna be such a small margin of victory either way that it really won't mean much.
Another Anon - 6 years ago
@Dallin Anderson
Or at the least they could try something more challenging than spamming their waifu. Try to put that 'I don't like either' at the bottom all the way up to the top, now *that'd* be impressive.
Dallin Anderson - 6 years ago
The people using incognito to spam votes to either side need to stop. You are shifting the balance of opinion, making justice unfair and creating a conflict that might result in the vote being done again due to your tampering.
Anonymous - 6 years ago
Oh and how miraculous, soon as it's pointed out and you're 50 points ahead the suddenly downpour of 2-3 Starlight votes a minute *stops*, how peculiar.
Anonymous - 6 years ago
Another 100 votes for Starlight over the course of 30 fucking minutes. Whoever's spamming it, fuck off.

What is happening AAAH
They're so close. Whatever happens, the loser will be by no means a "loser", but an honorary first-ish place.
This poll more than anything prove these ponies are highly appreciated by the audience

Starlight.
I'm not a fan of her by any means, but she is very entertaining, cute, and lovable. Her voice sounds nicer than Sunset's, too, imo.
The only thing that I like Sunset better for is her color palette and design. But since she is mainly EQG (>no hooves), and since I don't like seeing anypony in EQG/human form, I have to choose Starlight.

Something is up Starlight gained over 100 vote in a few hours and just now when Sunset lead again by 5 Starlight jump 10 votes at once. There is some magic being used LOL.
veryoriginalponyname - 6 years ago
Whoever ultimately wins this poll is going to win by such a small margin that it's not really going to mean much of anything. And if the lead is going to constantly be changing it's going to be just a matter of pure luck more than anything for whoever has it whenever they decide to end the poll.

UPDATE: Nevermind, I just tried the thing I was talking about (refreshing the page), and it just said "Thank you, we have already counted your vote." So we can rule that out as a possibility...

A rigged poll?
I feared this day would come ever since I found out I could cast more than one vote simply by... Well, I'm not going to say, just in case, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's accidentally discovered this little trick.
Ted E. Long - 6 years ago
This poll is being spammed everywhere. So it's possible this one has more awareness.
anon - 6 years ago
@bull
I think you're right. How the hell did Starlight manage to overcome a difference of hundreds of votes within a single afternoon? And why the "voting frenzy" for Starlight ceased on the EXACT moment the votes evened out? If Starlight has really so many fans and the votes are legitimate, why didn't she pass ahead of Sunset? Polls here average around 4000-5000 votes at the end of the week, and yet, THIS particular poll already passed the 5000 mark within TWO days. Where are all these people that don't vote on the other polls coming from?
Sorry, but there's definitely shady about this.

She wasn't even that far behind to begin with (like 5% or 8% at most), so I guess it's possible
bull - 6 years ago
How the hell did starlight catch up? Rigged.
Prison Pit - 6 years ago
Starlight is pretty, but she's awfully disruptive. She steals the spotlight even during other characters' moments and is written so that she's always right and everyone else is wrong.
Sunnybunny on the other hand is prettier, down to earth, and messes up every now and then. At first I thought her redemption was rushed, but all that changed between the first and second movie was her intentions and methods. It took more movies to sway inworld people's opinion and become more considerate and less aggressive, which are also parts of redemption.
Neither is Adagio though.
bennison - 6 years ago
Considering Starlight is one of the worst characters in the history of fiction, this one is pretty easy.
Medicine Cat - 6 years ago
For myself, I just can't relate to anything Equestria Girls, Sunset Shimmer included. That said, I will still go out there and declare Starlight Glimmer Best Pony Ever So Far. Any horse that can gleefully run a Leninist dystopia and still come back and to be BFF's with Maud and Trixie is clearly a few hands above.
anon - 6 years ago
Sunset Shimmer, and it's not even close.

I need to vote both of them.
Both of them are my favorite character.

Rihorama - 6 years ago
Starlight.
I've loved Sunset Shimmer pretty much ever since she was announced, even more when she got reformed. I always wished for her to get to the main series. And then Starlight came. A clear Sunset Shimmer idea copy but for the show. And suddenly it was obvious Sunset would never come back which made me sad and mad at Starlight. Besides, I didn't like her palette and mane design (removing bangs made here look so much better!) - another pink-purple pone seemed too much.
But eventually I figured Starlight has something that beats Sunset. I suppose it's that she didn't lose her previous, "villaneous" traits - those traits that led her to being a villain and a good one. Sunset just took a 180 degree turn and it's hard to imagine that lust for power ever was there.
So Starlight offers more development, personal struggle, occasional mistakes and it is SO entertaining and loveable. And relatable. As of now, she's by far the most interesting with greatest potential.
Sunset is still my nubmer 2, though :)
