Well voted no. Why? Because this will just get out of control again. If we keep doing things like this your going to need more and more money from the public. If you look at this a bit further away, you can see that this is trickery to support private gain.
However , if you can keep getting 3,000 tickets from one road in Edmonton, maybe you can just buy the place out right , there are plenty of roads and avenues,
Yes there are speeders out there, you mentioned some going really really fast, ticket them fine. But most were really just fallowing traffic speed and were only slightly nuggin the limit now wernt they.!!!Edmonton city , is banking one the ticket revenues, banking it is putting it lightly.
I’ve been around the world considerably, never have I seen a situation like this province and it’s cities, with traffic enforcements.

Iveson would sell his soul for money if he could. I, like another poster posted, no longer want to hand over any more of my hard earned money to this Mayor or Council who continue to use OUR MONEY to pay for THEIR WANTS and not ours or our needs. Personally if this goes through thanks to Iveson we edmontonions might want to consider a tax revolt and stop shopping and buying goods in this city. Maybe this would be a good start to show him that we are all fed up with financially subsidizing a BILLIONAIRE and will no longer financially support city businesses - at all till things change.

Why do we need a mayor or city council? We all know who calls the shots.

This is an outrage. "Well he bought the Oilers so the entire city might as well bend over backwards
for this multi-billionaire." Said no hard working, tax paying Albertan ever. He got his arena now he can find his own money. They want 10 million?!?! Ask Daryl for it he is only worth like 2.5 billion dollars. Pocket change for the rich goof.

Get Katz to pay all he wants all the returns and it's discussing that the mayor is in his pocket giving in to him

  • utelme - 6 years ago

But of course it was inevitable Katz's organization would continue to rape public coffers all under the guise of making downtown a viable business zone. Well today we spend hundred of millions and TAX payers don't see much improvement just more private interest lobbying Council to cough up more millions. They know Iveson's Ego for legacy is an easy push.

As a home owner we are tired of high taxes to feed the big business. Please give us a brake.
