Polls like this are often very incomplete as a result of the time periods. There are so many football player that played at OHS who were very good, but for one reason or another they are not often listed. There are guys such as Juan Joseph, Ricky Reed, Fredrick Maze, and Carlos Robinson just to name a few who . I played at OHS, but I was not the best high school football player to go through the school...not even in the top ten.

Two: top HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER not college or NFL
Three: Robert Hammond, Pat Miller, Sam George, Fred Pain, Joe Thomas, Donald Cunningham
Four: ONLY the 1994/1995 team made it the farthest in the playoffs
Five: Only the 1992/1993 team went undefeated in the regular season breaking almost every OHS football record.

No offense but you skip the best lineman the best defense back and the top player from Opelousas high school Darrell Toussiant who is also a top 100 player at Northwestern State University and the only DB that went pro Herrmann Arvie also All-American and a drafted Super Bowl champion on the OL. Devery Henderson did it all and without a doubt the top and most decorated football player to ever where a tiger uniform .

Nothing against the ones on the list, they are well deserved but Devery Henderson (won Super Bowl, won National Championship with LSU, and had one of the best high school football seasons despite having many of his touchdowns called back due to penalties. Rob Hammond was a unanimous All-American and the #1 defensive player in the country when coming out of Opelousas High. I think these guys should have been included in this list. To the others, congratulations because all of you deserved this. Especially my father in law (Sweet Feet Reg Austin)

You all left out Plaisance High School, Sunset High School and North Central Hgh School.
Plaisance High School had several college signees and among those were several Pro NFL players that pllayed in the league between 3-8 years in the NFL. Lets not overlook the small town High Schools.

I don't see Sunset listed among the football schools. I coached there for several years and one of our players made All-American at McNeese. His name is Rusty Guilbeau and he later played in the NFL for the New York Jets. In fact he was a stater on the defensive line for 5 or 6 seasons. When you do something like this you need to do a little research. I'm 75 and I can be of assistance to you.

April Fool's Joke right?
What about Robert Hammond?
How can you have this list with no Devery Henderson?
