Bear Gebhardt's article made me consider Trump in a different light.

Who cares about simple pleasures when you're Donald Trump?

Sometimes I pity Donald Trump for being the poor rich man he is.

I would like to be rich and powerful like Donald Trump regardless of whether I experience any of the simple pleasures cited in the article.

I enjoy haikus.

I doubt Trump even knows what a haiku is.

Trump's Twitter messages are his haikus to the world.

I agree with the sentiments in your post. And I miss our monthly Scrabble potlucks and camaraderie. It is truly in the everyday events that our lives take on meaning.
