If he wanted it pronounce Tuh rod then he should have corrected that years ago. To allow it for years to be pronounced Ty rod and not correct it puts it squarely on his shoulders. the English I learned tells me that Tyrod is pronounced Ty rod.

Ok Steven Ruiz ... how do you pronounce your last name? Roo-eece? or Reece? I've heard it pronounced both ways many times.

TY is pronounced ty not tuh. So if we are going off his own slang then yes let call him Tuh-rod and have him change it legally. SO we are now changing pronunciations because a few people want to pronounce letters however they want??... I mean come on. I'm going to change my name to 'Lucifer" but pronounced Luck - I-fear.

Pronouncing someone's name correctly is a basic measure of human dignity and respect. Our language allows us to enunciate every sound in his name. Grow up, and say it right!

I will call him John. Just because his parents are idiots and can't spell shouldn't cause a dilemma for the rest of us. Who's watching the NFL anyway?

    I'll pronounce it Joe Theezman
