It’s already been mentioned, but it looks like the writer intentionally left out the 7 sacks. A clearly biased attempt to bring the stat comparison a little closer. Both players will be forces to be reckoned with for years to come.

James had a great season, but cant compare to Leonard's. It's not mentioned in the article, but Leonard also had 7 sacks from an inside Linebacker position, which is about as tough as it gets. To think that Leonard's "stats" werent as impactful to the Colts season as James play is somewhat biased. Also, Leonard is clearly the best defender on the Colts defense, which makes his play that much more impactful. The same cant be said for James, playing alongside Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. Great season for both though.

Call the police, there has been a robbery. James was clearly the best rookie out there this year. West coast bias?? Writers just looked at tackles. Of course he is going to have more tackles, he is a linebacker. Derwin James impacted a defense like no one did this year. Sad.

Even derwin agreed that he wouldnt choose himself. And statistically he was not as good. Yes he was a major contributor on his team pretty much carried the. Defense alot. and made game changing plays.. More than the colts linebacker, but i think he could have been better if aloud to blitz more. I saw alot of plays were he was just seemingly standing there not moving much and letting guys around him do the work.
