What is motivating Macron to stand against the A50 extension?
He thinks it will do the British a favour, because it will increase the likelihood of rescission of A50
He thinks he is doing the UK a favour because he thinks it will increase the likelihood of a no-deal Brexit
He doesn't care about Britain or Europe, only the interests of France, and to this end wants to sideline Britain
It is all a pose, suggested by his drama teacher (aka Mrs Macron) so as to make us believe a long extension is not something to be taken for granted, and therefore make the British all the more ready to try and get that. In turn this will increase the chance that a second referendum will support remaining, which it wouldn't right now.
He simply hates the UK and wants to damage us, The fact that we helped his country in the world wars makes that hate just all the greater.
He just got bored with Brexit and now his butterfly mind needs a new topic
He is just trying to distract attention from his awful record at home and the protests against him, in which he is preparing to set soldiers against the people who pay their salaries.
