Should the SEC be looking to ease the pressure on smaller managers?
Yes, it’s great to see recognition from the regulator of the need to maintain a strong diversity of investor choices and the struggles faced by small/midsized firms
Maybe, it’s positive that the SEC is making these noises, but I’m not sure there is much the regulator could be doing to help in reality
No, it’s not the job of the regulator to take a view on these types of issues, or to try to support a particular part of the sector this way
