What would you do with Cam Newton?

He actually wants to stay. In this day and age how often does a high profile player in any league show this kind of team loyalty? Cam has not only been good to this team, but he's also a great member of the community. Sure, that doesn't equate to W's, but it does at least for another season equate to ticket sales.

Plus, if for some reason Cam doesn't cut it this season (which I doubt) it at least gives us fans a slight buffer between the team we know and a rebuild. In short time we lost Richardson, DWill, JStew, TD, Rivera, (holding back tears now), Olsen, and Luuuuke... I for one can't lose Cam too. Not yet.

Personally, I don't see Cam having a bad year. Rusty in the beginning, maybe, but not a bad year. In fact, this could be a steal the NFCS kind of year. But, what do I know? I'm just a fan. A fan that called us going to the Superbowl after the way we beat TB in 2003. And called we were going to lose that second game to ATL in 2015. Not to mention I knew we were going to lose that SB after the Cotchery "no catch". That's neither here nor there though...

His strength has always been his elusiveness. He's never been a great passer, but in his defense, except for one year, he's never had the O-line protection that QB's like Tom Brady have had. How about a trade along with our 1st round pick to Cinci for the 1st overall draft pick?

If Carolina gets rid if Cam, they'll regret it for years to come. He's consistently played through injuries, i.e. car accident, numerous shoulder issues, etc.. But somehow now that he's actually missed significant time due to them piling up and some think the Panthers should move on? From an MVP QB, by far the best QB this franchise has ever had, a positive influence in the community, never been in a hint of trouble since being drafted... That's insane, imo. Smartest move is to run him through his physical and if he gets a clean bill of health give the man an extension. Cam and CMC will be deadly! No doubt about it.

Let him play out the final year. If he’s great, he’s still in town. If not, let him walk as a FA and get a comp pick.

I say let him play. He deserves the chance to bounce back but if not he definitely should be let go.

He’s gone. He’s the last piece from the Rivera era that’s still around. He’ll be traded.

He should be traded. He will never fit in with the new coup.
