Yume, I'm so glad someone else mentioned being obsessed with Assassin's Creed, and then snapping up these books! ^__^ I've never played the game, but avidly watched my husband play both of them now, and am hopelessly addicted to Altair (we used the Altair outfit for Ezio). For me, I nabbed this trilogy from Amazon after reading the blurb, and thinking, Cool! A behind-the-scenes, of a sort! XD
I just (like, minutes ago) finished the first book, and wow. I wanted to call in sick for a week to work, just so I could read uninterrupted, the entire thing!
Well, I finally DID get sick, and just spent the majority of today finishing the last half of it.
Huzzah! And Excelsior! ^___^ An awesome piece of work! The ride was so much fun, and the characters so ... real and earthy. Believable.
Of course, now I've blown all my sick hours and will have to go back to reading during lunch and after work, but after reading this first one, I ~have~ to read the other two back-to-back!
A hearty Thank You, Brent, for writing these books! And yes, I read the acknowledgments. ~_^But I don't think it took even two pages to hook me.
I hated that Blint had to die, but understood that it had to happen. As Kylar wonders at how many heroes Blint may have been, it reminded me much of Moorcock's Elric of Melnibone, another favorite character.
I hope for future books that chronicle some of Blint's earlier guises. He really found a place in my heart. (and I love garlic!) (Though I doubt I like it enough to chew on whole cloves.... O_o)
So... *ahem* >.> anyway...
Thank you! I love the first book, and I will begin the second one anon! ~_^

Happened upon this poll thing--really late. Hope it's still okay to post here O_o
I saw the ad for books in Yen+. Yes, Yen+. Of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to read about assassins (sort of obsessed after playing Assassins Creed when it came out). Turns out passing up manga that day of purchasing the first book was completely worth it. I am still happy whenever I see another ad for this series in Yen+, it's the best!

Well, I just saw the cover and thought it looks amazing, I dont have any of the books yet, but i'm going to get all 3 of them when I get some money, just have to wait a bit thats all.
Hopefully they're as good as they look as it's not usually the kind of book i would read lol, gonna borrow one from the library first to see if i like it, then gonna buy them all.

Saw book, craved book, wanted book, needed book. Yeah I saw the cover and immediately paused looking back and forth between the comic section and the fantasy section. Book...comic..book...comic...
then I read the description and hauled ass to the checkout line.

I found the book by accident in a little bookstore in a little town called Colraine, in Northern Ireland. Go figure! It was on the stand for books that if you bought 2 you could get another free, I was hardly going to pass that up. But it turned out to be one of the best books I've read this year ;)
