DC appears to be a good guy. I think I read that he plans to entertain troops in Iraq, so right away that makes him A-OK with me. But DA's voice, versatility and style are more for me. I believe that DA will continue to gain popularity over the next 5-10 years, but I think that DC will fade because of age and the fact that his voice and talent are not that rare or unique.

David Cook was and is my choice. He caught my eye with Happy Together and got better and better every week. I love his personality, his goofy sense of humor, but most importantly the way he approached each week of the competition by researching the song book to find something that he could then make his own. I love his voice whether the sweet sounds of Music of the Night or The World I Know or the harder edged sounds of Billie Jean and All Right Now or the sexier sounds of All I Really Need is You or Always Be My Baby. I loved that you never knew each week what he was going to do, but were never disappointed. He never forgot a line, never missed a beat or a step during the group numbers. He was a good sport and a phenomenal performer. I wish him nothing but the best always. He is the one and only Idol that I have ever really invested in. His debut album is a triumph. There isn't a bad song on it and anyone who thinks he does nothing but scream hasn't heard the heart wrenching "Permanent" that he not only sings with raw emotion but also wrote. My personal favorites are his lighter songs like "Lie" and "Avalanche", but he rocks out on "Heroes" and "Declaration". There is something on it for everyone. He is a very, very talented man.

I am a staunch Archuleta supporter. His voice touches ones' soul. His vocal training was the result of problems with vocal paralysis, which was not mentioned in the article. Archuleta has had a tough road to travel in his journey to becoming a popstar/songwriter. His singing on idol was awesome and beyond comparison. David is a very humble individual and does not know the meaning of showboating. Because of his age, Archuleta did not have the life experiences that Cook had who also had college training. Cook's job as a bartender apparently was a choice as he did have college training which afforded him the opportunity to seek better employment. Nonetheless, the Davids both shared a true love for music and were able to share that with each other and become as brother. These two are different as night and day, but both are talented in their own unique way. They are able to get along and so should their fans. Even this article is bias and lends itself to cause for debate. Media needs to stop their tendency to insite fans, as they are a big source of the constant fan fighting.

I absolutley love David Archuleta's voice. This young man has brought back meaning in the word music. I have never felt so much love and appreciation for everything this artist does before in my lifetime and i am no teenager. If it takes an 18 year old to make me feel this way then so be it. I'm on the ride of my life and i'll be standing by him through out his journey. So looking forward to this young artist becoming hugh which he will. For the record i grew up listening to rock so i do still appreciate Cook as well and i wish him all the best.

I'm a huge Archuleta fan and a total follower. Having said that, I'd also like to add that I respect and enjoy David Cooks music, and there is no competition or comparison that should be made. We have two enormously talented individuals in different genres. Take your pick and respect the other.

HANDS DOWN -- DAVID ARCHULETA!! His voice is so pure, smooth, silky, soulful, sensual, Angelic -- just HEAVENLY!! David does not need instruments, his voice is an INSTRUMENT!! Stated by various music critics, song writer, producers as well as Dean Kaelin his vocal coach and ALL his fans. When he sings, he SHAKES THE ENTIRE room -- without screaming!!!!!!

I was on Archie team since Heaven. I had been waiting for a younger contestant who could draw young audiences. When I heard Heaven, I really hoped this young man to be no fluke. Oh, my, I was so right. After watching him going through negative media scrutiny and even after the competition, proving that he is more mature and talented than the show molded him, now I can say that I AM SO PROUD TO BE AN ARCHIE!!
