OMG the show CANNOT go on without lucas. he is the main character... it all started out with him. if there was no lucas... there would be no one tree hill. remeber in the begging he started it... he wanted to play basketball and got into nathans life which he got with haley and paytan broke up with nathan which was friends with brooke and went back to lucas. so it all happened with lucas. so if u cut him out... the show probly will lose a lot of ratings and will crash. i am definaltly not saying anything bad about one tree hill. i love it, i live for it, omg it is my life. i am a big fan and will always b one. so lucas(cmm) please dont leave!!!! we love u!!!!

Are you kidding me? CMM will not be able to escape his association with OTH. This show can go on without him. The focus can center on Hayley, Jamie, & Nathan. CMM shouldn't bite the hand that feeds him.

I agree that the show can go one without him. The show is not about him anymore, there so many other wonderful characters on. If the other cast memebers have signed on, and he is the only one who hasn't that pretty crappy on his part. I hope we get one finale season of OTH. If Chad isnt on, then so be it.

the show can sooooooooooo go one with out him. I would have to say that season five and season 6 have proved that! season 1 thru 4 were all focused around him, its been great to see all the other chacters breaking out the last two seasons. CMM is soo about him self anymore that i would rather see him care about the show. He thinks that movies may save him but really he is not that wanted in them. He just upset that his ex wife is doing better then him. I hope he stays because he is a huge part of the show but please know that the show will go on!

Yes, Lucas (CMM) is a key character/actor but the show can still go on and have good ratings. They kill Lucas off and Peyton has to stuggle as a single mom and deal with a new love life. There are plenty of story lines and main characters to explore.

Oh my GOD, how can people say that one tree hill be ok with out chad, peyton has already gone through so many guys and now since she is pregnant she cant not have chad that would just make the whole show trash if he goes. I think its beyond stupid that he might leave and that people are saying its ok if he leaves! for the people who are saying it wont be ok you understand. I have watched every episdode of one tree hill and chad hasent left the season so if he randomly leaves now it wouldnt be one tree hill anymore!.

ive only recently got into oth! but bought all the box sets to catch up with all the story lines. one tree hill is an amazing program and i look forward to seeing the new series. obviously lucas is the main character of the show but he is'nt the only character. not all of the fantastic plots have been centred around him, yeah he would be missed but the rest of the cast are more than capable of filling the gap left by chad. nathan, haley,brooke,peyton,skills,mouth and even little jamie are fantastic and with chad or without him the show must go on. if chad wants to try and better himself by breaking in to the movie industry then good luck to him but one tree hill is bigger than any of the actors! either way im looking forward to see what happens in the future!!!

I have been watching oth sence it started and it would suck without chad in it however i tink it would go on because their are more ppl in that the show is about tho the main ones are lucas peyton brooke nathan haley but i think that oth will make it. I love the show and i dont want lucas to leave but if that is what he wants then he will do it. But i still want to see more of oth i love it and it would be great to see it go on.

To me the pb's not really about the character gone in itself, but the consequences for the people around... I personnaly wouldn't stand another season with Peyton sad, she's been through so much, i think that might be THE worst thing that could ever happen to her... This season she's been so happy (i don't think we've ever seen her like this before actually) and that's what i liked about this season... She really deserves to finally get what she wants and i think it would be lot wiser to stop at season 6 with an happy ending for LP... The only interest i would find in season 7 might be Brulian, i would love to see their relationship go further. But i think everything's already been done with the others characters, there wouldn't be much more to say about them or that would be just repeating the same old stories (a new psycho, with naley would still be about their careers, peyton alone with her child would look a lot like karen's life, etc) and even if Lucas was there for a 7th season i actually wouldn't see the point either... I'm not saying i don't like the show anymore and want it to stop, just saying i think it's time and i'd even say the greatest, THE most perfect moment you could choose to end the show... Going further would just kill it in my opinion.

I'm probably one of the older fans. I really wouldnt want to see Lucas leave. Is Peyton going with? They are supposed to be inseperable. Arent they having a baby? I know she may have cancer, I missed a couple episodes so i dont know what is going on with that. Ya, I like Nathan, Haley, little Jaime and Brook, but Lucas is the main reason i watch.

Even though OTH is centred around Lucas (CMM) I think the show could go on for one more season without him if need be. In the last couple of seasons, I don't think Lucas' character has been the main focus and had a stronger presence than say Brooke or even Nathan. It would be strange without Lucas but if he does leave, then what happens to Peyton - their wedding and baby?? The end of season 6 would be interesting!

I can not believe you guys are saying that just because Chad is going, that the show can not go on, what are you guys thinking, your probelm is that you guys arent thinking outside the box, your focus on One Tree hill is so narrow that you dont see the other possibilies of how it can go, with or without chad the show will still be amazing and will continue to do geat and get great ratings, plus, hes the main character so what, look at Brooke's storyline and Nathans it can grow so much and it does not at all have to be centered about Lucas, look for example at the O.C. when Mischa (Marissa) left she I guess was one of the main characters, but it do so well without her, I'm not saying it was better, but It was so good, look other people too over, for example Kaitilin and Julie Cooper, things happen okay in One Tree hill that other characters may take over, I mean Brooke could marry a Serial killer, or Mouth's life could completely be in the gutter, Dan could come back and make life hell for Tree hill residents, or even Psycho Derek could come back and make Peyton's life miserable and or ever horrible, or Rachel could come back, Peyton could be so angry and want to move on so she marries Jake, the point I'm trying to make is dont Cancel One Tree Hill, because OTH must be told, as well as the cast members stories, please it could be so good, and it would be so interesting, dont do this, not now, we need this, I could think of 19 things off the bat for OTH, just please tell me, we can do this.
