Really. I honestly cannot see why so many people enjoy Twilight. In terms of power, it's like comparing a candle to an inferno. Twilight is a shallow read. Harry Potter is just a work of art that leaves us questioning the way we view our world.

im 4 twilight!!!!!! i love the story buttttttt i like j.k better than stephanie!!!!! i dont like harry potter, but i like the way how she writes it. Twilight series is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wish j.k wrote twilight but same story!!!!! so it would be better!!!!!!!

For me, when the HP series continued until the 7th book, it became a little boring or some people say, "The-story-just-repeats-over-and-over-but-with-a-little-twist". So if maybe it only reached until 4 books it would be so much better, like Stephenie did, she said that she'd like to write about a lot of things, a lot of different things that doesn't just involve the Twilight saga. And some of my friends think that because of what Daniel did (the nudity and stuff) maybe it affected the HP series, cause a lot of people specially those who are already parents complained because Daniel was like being a role model for the kids. His nudity didn't really bother me that much, because it was his decision and it's his life, but honestly it's not really good because he was still signed up for the role of Harry Potter and so a lot of his fans were shocked and disgusted.
I just think that J.K. Rowling's books are good for it's full of fantasies and adventures.
And Stephenie Meyer's books are good for it's very creative and different (in a good way). It would always make the people read it more than once.

let me just say that u cant compare between these 2 serious of action and the mistery but in twiligh u can have them both plus a love story that got into many teanager mind in my opinion the serious that gather all the action and the immotions in the same time gets the credit thx

FUCK i don't noe why u guys like harry fucken potter wit that ugly damn stupid glasses EWWWWWWWW discusting no ofense but fuck u guys who likes hp UGH!
I abouslty adore twilight, but harry potter is fantastic too. I must include that my opinion means nothing considering i only read the first four harry potter books and all of Meyer's twilight saga. I think that they are all truly amazing series but in my eyes twilight can't be touched nor replaced in my heart by harry potter due to wonderful discripitsions given to us by Meyer. It is an interesting feeling for me not to like harry potter much anymore but i simply adore Twilight. Meyer allows us to go straight into the books. So does Rowling... but it takes me ten minutes to put myself into Rowlings head. But with Meyer i simply have to read for seconds... while i fight to keep myself in our world. But due to me being done the twilight saga, i may like to start reading the fifth harry potter book and see if i enjoy every second as if it were twilight ( not likely). If that does not happen i will read Meyers amazing saga again. I am getting annoying, i know but i could sit here and tell you how much these books mean to me all day. I did however vote for both of these amazing books and everything i said is true. THESE BOOKS MEAN EVERYTHING TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow! I am shocked that this is even a contest for anyone. Let me start by saying that I have read the complete series in both Harry Potter (7 books) and Twilight (4 books plus partial Edwards view of the first book). There is absolutely NO COMPARISON! While the Twilight books are well written and what I would call an enjoyable and "easy read", they don't hold a candle to the Potter books. The Potter series is a true beauty of writing craftsmanship. Rowling creates an entire fantasy world and invites us to learn and become completely entrenched and obsessed with it. It is very powerful when an author can take from nothing and create all that she has, making the reader wish it was a real world, real place. We wish we knew Harry, were friends with him. The relationships are completely viseral and ever-changing. Now, the Twilight series is great, too, but it does not have the character development that the Potter books does. It would be like comparing a 5th grade essay with one written by a 12th grade essay. Harry Potter has been a complete part of peoples lives for many years. He has grown up with the teens of today. They have never known a time without Harry Potter. Us older folks remember, but still enjoy reading the books, watching the movies, etc. When you are on a bus, a train, a plane you can mention the Harry Potter series and there is a several hour conversation. And people share how they felt when Dumbledore died, they cried. How they laughed at Ron in book six with his snogging. There is emotion and connection.
Just my 2 cents.

Twiligt rox!!!!!!! its the best series i've ever read. Even the movies were awesome. Now don't get me wrong, the harry potter movies were pretty good but frankly i think people are getting tired of all of harry's almost deaths. By now everyone that was a harry potter fanatic has lapsed out of their craze and people who want to start reading the harry potter series have a hard time finding the first couple of books. PERSONALLY TWILIGHT IS A MUCH BETTER SERIES BUT THATS JUST MY POINON.
