I love seeing comments come to life! The current banner (blue version) definitely needs to be re-skinned. It just looks clunky to me.
As WaxEcstatic says "The banner in my opinion is weak. Looks like an amateur PS job if you ask me."
It looks to "flat" and to 1990 century.
Use more colors, and do not spread out the text.
Try to use it in same sentence, like "Tutorials, Fresh Knowledge and Everything you need to know about technology." or something like that.
I'm just giving a tip. And why not make the text thicker?

eh, it's a work in progress. I agree that it's not what i had originally planned, but its better than i thought it would be after about 20 mins of work at 1 am.
