What do you think next year's essay questions should be?

I'm a big fan of the second one, the one dealing with a situation in which the applicant tried something outside of his/her comfort zone. So much of a college application is about what you've done, what you've accomplished, within the bounds of what you have been willing to do in high school. I might be an idealist, but I would want my essay to reflect who I am rather than what I've done. The second topic gives us a chance to write about our flaws--what better way to truly, honestly get to know us?

I completely agree with you Yang, discrimination is terrible weather you’re watching or receiving.

I voted the one about the connection with the literary or historical figure because it would tell you a lot more about me than any of the other ones. However the essay about the class design would be fun because it would allow me to be creative. All of these subjects listed would be great essay questions, but these two stuck out in my mind.

I really think the last one is important in that I can relate to it, but that's probably unfair. As an Asian-American I felt discrimination and injustice first-hand and have seen others treated badly too... but what about the rest of you guys probably not huh. Oh well wish everyone luck next year.
