Carmine (the crushed beetle thing) is not that bad an ingredient. It sounds a lot worse than it is! I've seen it taken from prickly pear and you'd be surprised at how normal it is... and I'm a squeamish person!
It's still the bone-and-skin for me... ugh

I remember making animal jello with my mom when I was little... good times good times... well at least it used to be, but now that I'm thinking back on it... awwh! *shudder* well NVM THAT THEN NOW HUH!? x) I'll keep that in mind next time I go babysitting, or for when I have kids some day! ... Hardly anything now a days is ever natural. That's why you never learn what they really put in it unless you get sick from it.

Wow jell-o has some really sick stuff in it. But there is a lot of sick stuff in pretty much everything that is made now days. If we all knew what was in the stuff we ate we would all be vegetarians.
