Yes, this means I no longer have a contestant that I will back in the 2009 American Idol competition. The only time I have voted in a winner was with Jordin Sparks. I chose her in the audition phase and followed her throughout the process until the end. I am used to having my hopes for the right contestant on this show to be destroyed and for them to be sent home before their time. So... a lucky day for all you Grimoire13/Danny Gokey haters. I feel calm and secure in what I feel is real and true about Adam and you will find through all my blogs that not one unkind word, or fault has been raised by me against Kris or Danny. SARAH: For me, Adam's voice is PAINFULLY high. I could never tolerate it for more than the minute or two that he is on stage, for example. I have muted his screaming on more than one occasion, out of sheer misery. And you would be correct with regard to David Archuleta. I had no dog in last years fight... because I enjoyed neither of "the Davids". But if push comes to shove, David Cook is much easier for me to listen to than David Archuleta, yes.

I have a couple of guy friends (they don't know each other, they live in different areas). Both of them are as heterosexual as they can possibly be... but for one thing. Effeminate voice and mannerisms. One of them, his speaking/singing voice (although nothing that will ever make him rich) is strong, but woman-like. He's not a gay man, he's straight. But he KNOWS his voice is high, no one needs to tell him that. The other guy is 'macho' enough for the most part, but has some very strange, female-like tendencies, mannerisms and gestures. His voice is very, very masculine. I've known him since we were children. He's straight as straight can be, except for those odd, feminine mannerisms. For you to say that I am 'implying' anything by stating the obvious, that Adam has a high-pitched voice, isn't even a little bit fair. You are arbitrarily adding a WHOLE lot to what I said... things I never meant, at all. Please stop inferring things I never said or 'implied'. This is why this 'debate' has become so lengthy and heated. Too many of you are too eager to add thoughts and words that were never stated by the person you are accusing of doing so. It's just jumping to conclusions, and it's really off the mark, at least where I am concerned.

Grimoire, I agree with your reasoning, as long as the discussion or opinion doesn' t turn hurtful or right down rude. To say that you think Adam screams too much and he needs to tone it down, is a constructive statement that would help Adam without any offense taken. But to say he sounds like a girl rubs very close to sounding like a sexual inuendo aimed at his sexual identity, whether it was intended that way or not, and is a negative comment that would hurt. To say he "stunk" is rude and carries no constructive comment on why, and how he could improve himself, therefore that is hurtful. I hope you can see what I am trying to say! QUIETSTORM AND SARAH: I understand... and agree.. to a point. Because this is a singing competition, I think it is fine to discuss the pros and cons of the vocals of these guys. I DON'T think it is okay to discuss their religious preference, sexual preference, personal tragedy, family matters, relationship issues, political stance, physical attributes, or anything at all to do with things that fall outside the realm of voice and singing ability. By joining a competition that involves votes from the general public, the contestants have given their permission to let whomever hears their voice, make a decision and have discussions about their performances. By saying how I feel about ANY of the performances, I am not violation their personal business, or crossing any lines regarding the 'say something nice or not at all' rule. If it was bad, it was BAD. If it was good, it was GOOD, strictly from an OPINION-based line of thought. And Sarah... it wasn't any 'nicer' of you to imply that some of us are too thick between the ears to grasp the 'kindergarten rule'. It simply does not apply when discussing something that was MEANT to be discussed publicly and then voted upon.

I agree with Grimoire13. I can't stand the way Adam screams not in most of his songs but all of them. It's okay to do that once in awhile to certain songs but not everyone of them. Danny Gokey is my favorite. I'm drawn to his incredible vocal articulations and dynamic range. He has a vocal 'edge' that's just ferocious and catchy if you really listen. Adam has incredible upper notes and shrill overtones that are really cool! Adam also has pleasing middle register tone and expression. Kris has an obvious zeal for music, with nice vocals and energetic instrumentals. What I like about this contest is that it brings music into the spotlight and gives the public an active role in music appreciation. I'm a music teacher BTW...

Mary: You've got to be kidding. Did you watch tonight? Danny's last song was without a doubt the most boring of the night and Kris' last song was definitely the most well thought out and artistic performance of the night. The only problem is that you are listening to the incredibly bias judges. Danny could pee on stage and they would say it was an A+ effort. Kris is so much more talented. When I listen to any of Danny's songs, all I hear is the same thing. Kris can sing anything from Kanye West to Garth Brooks, and he is talented enough to play multiple instruments while he does it. I am not saying he is better than Adam, but Kris is DEFINITELY better than Danny. AI has just been pushing for Danny since the start when they found out his story, and it is obvious. It has just warped way too many minds! Let's start thinking for ourselves a bit!

If AI & all the stupid teeny-boppers want Adam "cakeboy" Lambert, so be it. Sure, he comes up with a very original performance every week. But that's because he can't do "country", etc. Apparantly it's OK that he screams in every song. Danny, who has performed great all season long, picks a song last week that he knew would really challenge him. He shouldn't have picked it because his screaming at the very end wasn't good. It appeared that his voice was wearing out & hoarse. Results night he admitted the last scream was not good. Either Kris or Danny would make a great winner. At least they are genuine and true and would represent all that is good about our great country. Gay boy would not. But AI & the judges have switched on whom they want as the winner. I hoping for a miracle, that Adam will be eliminated this week & then Kris or Danny wins!!!!!

I understand you don't feel an obligation to whether or not you are doing a disservice to Danny, by simply wishing he would lose because of what his fans are doing. Fans of any contestant can be annoying and irritating, but the celebrity should not have to take ownership of that stupidity on their behalf. I find a lot of the Adam fans to be irritating and annoying. But I don't base my feelings about his vocals on THEIR BEHAVIOR. I'm saying that we should be able to separate the fans from the star. Clearly, Adam has a great deal of 'something' that is attracting his minions. So does Allison, Matt, Anoop, etc. Danny is no exception. There is something in every musician for practically every taste imaginable. As for people lodging 'personal attacks' against the fans of someone other than your favorite contestant, I think I have taken FAR MORE than I have dished out in that regard. It's not that big a deal. I just consider the source. And I DO see things from just my 'own angle'. I have made that adequately clear for anyone that isn't a myopic ass, just looking to raise hell over nothing. I think it's important to remember that this is not OUR career we are talking about. Jamie Foxx, who also knows a little something about music, was blown away by what Adam did with Feeling Good, and professionals throughout the music industry are abuzz about Adam's incredible talent. Look also at the media coverage he's getting. The reason for that is that he has caught fire with the American public who have been incredibly excited by his performances. Hey Grimoire, I don't see how I'm doing a disservice to Danny. I simply has no duty to do any service to him. And although he is good, he is not special enough to make me take all those blasting. But somehow I feel that people like having you speak (including me I guess) or else they won't be returning to the board to see what you have to say. And you kind of make sense when you keep your head cool. If you would only stay tuned to "show[ing] enthusiasm for [Danny's] vocal style" without scorning the other equally or even more talented (this is a subjective matter) contestants AND posting personal attacks on the other contestants' fans, I don't see how you would have problems with the others on the board. I have a couple of guy friends (they don't know each other, they live in different areas). Both of them are as heterosexual as they can possibly be... but for one thing. Effeminate voice and mannerisms. One of them, his speaking/singing voice (although nothing that will ever make him rich) is strong, but woman-like. He's not a gay man, he's straight. But he KNOWS his voice is high, no one needs to tell him that. The other guy is 'macho' enough for the most part, but has some very strange, female-like tendencies, mannerisms and gestures. His voice is very, very masculine. I've known him since we were children. He's straight as straight can be, except for those odd, feminine mannerisms. For you to say that I am 'implying' anything by stating the obvious, that Adam has a high-pitched voice, isn't even a little bit fair. You are arbitrarily adding a WHOLE lot to what I said... things I never meant, at all. Please stop inferring things I never said or 'implied'. This is why this 'debate' has become so lengthy and heated. Too many of you are too eager to add thoughts and words that were never stated by the person you are accusing of doing so. Grimoire, I agree with your reasoning, as long as the discussion or opinion doesn' t turn hurtful or right down rude. To say that you think Adam screams too much and he needs to tone it down, is a constructive statement that would help Adam without any offense taken. But to say he sounds like a girl rubs very close to sounding like a sexual inuendo aimed at his sexual identity, whether it was intended that way or not, and is a negative comment that would hurt. To say he "stunk" is rude and carries no constructive comment on why, and how he could improve himself, therefore that is hurtful. I hope you can see what I am trying to say! QUIETSTORM AND SARAH: I understand... and agree.. to a point. Because this is a singing competition, I think it is fine to discuss the pros and cons of the vocals of these guys. I DON'T think it is okay to discuss their religious preference, sexual preference, personal tragedy, family matters, relationship issues, political stance, physical attributes, or anything at all to do with things that fall outside the realm of voice and singing ability. By joining a competition that involves votes from the general public, the contestants have given their permission to let whomever hears their voice, make a decision and have discussions about their performances. By saying how I feel about ANY of the performances, I am not violation their personal business, or crossing any lines regarding the 'say something nice or not at all' rule. If it was bad, it was BAD. If it was good, it was GOOD, strictly from an OPINION-based line of thought. And Sarah... it wasn't any 'nicer' of you to imply that some of us are too thick between the ears to grasp the 'kindergarten rule'. It simply does not apply when discussing something that was MEANT to be discussed publicly and then voted upon.

Danny Gokey is my favorite. I'm drawn to his incredible vocal articulations and dynamic range. He has a vocal 'edge' that's just ferocious and catchy if you really listen. Adam has incredible upper notes and shrill overtones that are really cool! Adam also has pleasing middle register tone and expression. Kris has an obvious zeal for music, with nice vocals and energetic instrumentals. What I like about this contest is that it brings music into the spotlight and gives the public an active role in music appreciation. I'm a music teacher BTW...

Psychologically, it seems that Adam try very very hard to get everyone attention by his screaming voice (or noise... I'm not sure what it is.), his appearance, his make-up.. And he did very well... He's got everyone attention. It's call striving for superiority. Inside, he really feel inferior.

Danny's last song was without a doubt the most boring of the night and Kris' last song was definitely the most well thought out and artistic performance of the night. The only problem is that you are listening to the incredibly bias judges. Danny could pee on stage and they would say it was an A+ effort. Kris is so much more talented. When I listen to any of Danny's songs, all I hear is the same thing. Kris can sing anything from Kanye West to Garth Brooks, and he is talented enough to play multiple instruments while he does it. I am not saying he is better than Adam, but Kris is DEFINITELY better than Danny. AI has just been pushing for Danny since the start when they found out his story, and it is obvious. It has just warped way too many minds! Let's start thinking for ourselves a bit!

Jamie Foxx, who also knows a little something about music, was blown away by what Adam did with Feeling Good, and professionals throughout the music industry are abuzz about Adam's incredible talent. Look also at the media coverage he's getting. The reason for that is that he has caught fire with the American public who have been incredibly excited by his performances. The amount of coverage he gets not only in the press but on the internet, in searches, blogs, youtube clips, etc., FAR outdistances that garnered by either of his competitors for the crown. He is THE superstar to emerge from this year's competition, and he WILL win, and deservedly so. He's incredible. Hey Grimoire, I don't see how I'm doing a disservice to Danny. I simply has no duty to do any service to him. And although he is good, he is not special enough to make me take all those blasting. But somehow I feel that people like having you speak (including me I guess) or else they won't be returning to the board to see what you have to say. And you kind of make sense when you keep your head cool. If you would only stay tuned to "show[ing] enthusiasm for [Danny's] vocal style" without scorning the other equally or even more talented (this is a subjective matter) contestants AND posting personal attacks on the other contestants' fans, I don't see how you would have problems with the others on the board.
