By all means. There are men who have beaten their wives and children, shot people, etc and they are playing in the NFL. Let him without sin cast the first stone. EVERYONE deserves a second chance. It' s not like he is a pedafile and wants to go back to work at the day care.

Absouletly ,positively Not . Prison was to good for him, he sould have been made to suffer the way he made those poor dogs suffer. I would never watch a football game that he was in, not even , (especially) God forbid he were allowed to play for my favorite team.He doesn't deserve to get another chance ,the dogs he killed won't get another chance. I don't believe prison reforms people like him. He was way to involved to think he will ever be capable of redeeming himself especially since it wasn't motivated by money since he made so much playing football, he just did it because he wanted to for the incredibly sick fun he got out of it.

I worry more about having you people as neighbors in the community, especially being anonymous. Atleast we know who Vick is....My mother was attacked by a family dog who never hurt a soul and I personally hate dogs now. For any one who would abandon football because of Vick, go ahead football does not need you anyway. Ny the way Jessica I know what you meant "Michael you are a low life N" you should be ashamed of you self. That just represents what the real problem is around here... Anonymous racism that leaks out when it has nothing to do with race at all.

You people are worse than Vick, openly admitting your hate for another human being. What dirty little secrets do you have? What the man did was wrong but he has served his time, time to move on.

NO that low life no good for nothing jerk doesn't deserve a second chance in football!!! Tell that to all those poor dogs........I am a animal lover and I hate when stupid idiot low life people treat their animals like they are trash. I hate Vick and he needs to stayed in prison!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not believe that Michael Vick should get a second chance. Why should a man who abused animals have a second chance at the NFL when he is suppose to be a role model to the younger age? I do not believe that giving him a second chance at playing football will be for the better; it will just be for the worse. I have to agree with Get Real when he says, "Why do smokers, drug adicts, alcoholics, sexual deviants, etc...have such a hard time controlling and quiting their habits? They crave the high that comes with it. Vick got his high off of killing dogs and/or watching them fight to the death. " When a sexual predator gets out of prison after serving his/her time, the public does not look at him/her as just another human being, but as a predator to society. They fear them. They do not want them coming in their house or near their family. Why should Michael Vick be treated any different because he didn't rape, but he was abusing animals? Honestly people, just because he is famous and his name is out there, does not mean that he is obsolete from the punishment that he has to face. Also, because he is getting out of prison does not mean that he can go back to what he was doing before he got into trouble. If you or I made a mistake, we would lose our jobs and they would be filled by someone else. Why should the NFL make an exception?

Ask yourselves a few simple questions:

    1. Would I trust Vick to house sit my pets while my family and I are on vacation for 2 months?

    2. Is Vick a good role model for young athletes, and would I like my son to emulate him?

    Self evaluation:

    3. Have you ever been enraged to the point where you could hurt or kill?

    4. Have you ever sworn to yourself that you would never do something again, only to find yourself breaking that promise shortly thereafter?

We are creatures of habit and are solely responsible for our behavior and actions. Why do smokers, drug adicts, alcoholics, sexual deviants, etc...have such a hard time controlling and quiting their habits? They crave the high that comes with it. Vick got his high off of killing dogs and/or watching them fight to the death. The urge will never go away because it is greater than him!

I think that Vick deserves another chance. He has paid his debt to society. I believe that the justice system (or the people in charge) have hidden agendas. We as people hold high standards and expectations of others than we do of ourselves. We know what he has done, but what dark secret do you have?

My son had a puppy that contracted the Parvo Virus. I took him to the vet. They kept him half a day and charged me $150. I was told that they could try and save him for about $500. I did not have the money, so the puppy was given back to me to take home and suffer a terrible death. The doctor could have offered to put him to sleep. I don't know if any of you every seen a puppy die with Parvo, but it hurt me terribly to see him suffer like that. I put this doctor in the category as Vick, but who do you think is still an upstanding citizen? They both allow dogs to die for the sake of the mighty dollar.

How do you allow the others to go free just because they gave up information on Vick? The others were the ones actually conducting the fights. Either this his a terrible, terrible crime or not. I am sure Vick was a big catch for the local DA. I am a mother of four and I decided to get a Rottweiler instead of a gun for protection. I don't go out looking for dog fights, but wether it be a dog or a burgular on my property, I expect my dog to let instict take over. I love my dog.

I would like to see Vick back in the league and show our youth that it is never too late to turn your life around. Vick, keep your head up and go forward in life as you have learned from your mistakes.

If he is so dangerous, then why is he not in jail still? He did his time and paid his price, now he should be able to do something positive with his life. Should we take everyone's license away from them if they were acting negligent while driving a car and cause an accident? Shoot, we don't even take their license away when the are caught drinking and driving. Everyone gets a second chance, so to draw the line here would be hypocritical.

Maybe if he merely "knew" of dogfighting going on etc. But this man was INVOLVED in the dog fighting to the extent of killing animals with his own hands in a very slow and brutal fashion. You don't change that type of personality with time in prison. This man has the capability to brutally kill a living being with his own hands. These were animals whose trust he had to completely have to get the results from them that he wanted and then he took them out and killed them. Is that the type of person we want our children or anyone in society looking up to?
