I worked with Joe Mallahan and was regularly impressed with his intelligence, leadership, and willingness to challenge conventional thinking. He would be an outstanding leader for Seattle.

I am voting for Mahallan. I am not an intern and I like cookies.
Out with the old and in with the new.

Unbelievable that the Times endorses Nickels. He has a track record of blunders and his support for the most expensive viaduct replacement alternative - the tunnel - is ridiculous. I support Mike McGinn. He has the smarts and leadership ability to steer Seattle in the right direction.

There's no way this poll is accurate - Mallahan has an intern erasing cookies & doing multiple votes. Just like Drago's intern a couple of months ago.

The Seattle Times may want the Status Quo, but not me.
It seems the only real *choice* is Mike McGinn.

@Mike -- even better, we need to make sure we have a mayor who knows the first thing about Seattle, Seattle politics, and how to run a city. Mallahan can run a business, but is clueless about Seattle. He couldn't name a single community organization in the Central District (or Southeast?) forum the other day. Come on!
Michael McGinn is a proven community leader in Seattle -- and the only serious alternative to Nickels.

We need to make sure we get the basics right in Seattle before we jump onto any more of Nickels's grand schemes. I'll be voting for Joe Mallahan now and in November.
