The First Lady of the United Stastes of America should look modest and ladylike. The contrast between her image and that of the men in uniform at Air Force One is stunning. Even in the hottest places on earth, like in Africa and many island nations, many women wear loose skirts to keep cool and look like women. It works, wherever you are. Is it too much to ask that the First Lady be discreet with her body? She looks like an old hippie in this picture.

This photo and discussion has been bothering me for days and, yes, that makes me question my own sanity. However, what I think confuses me is how divisive this is. And it shouldn't be. It's painfully obvious that MO's choice was beneath the dignity of being First Lady walking off of Air Force One. Just seeing those two men in uniform and her clomping down the stairs between them should be enough to convince anyone who can see. There shouldn't be any argument. It's inappropriate and if this sloppiness continues, it's gonna get a lot hotter for both of them.
We have a dress code where I work and it's pretty clear how we dress is a reflection on the company. Shouldn't the same rule apply to her? Someone said there's no dress code for her office. That's because we never needed one before!

I don't think it's bad she has shorts on - I just think she looks bad in them. She could have looked allot classier than she does in this pic. I just don't like the way she dresses most of the time. I think she looks cheap. I also noticed the other night when the family was getting off a plane going or coming from somewhere that the olders girl is really starting to walk hunched over and she was constantly fixing her shirt. She looked really self conscious. I hope the Obamas are noticing that. Maybe the kid is having some problems. Hopefully they work on her posture.

First for JO from Ky the most important thing you need to worry about is Geography and get a new map of Arizona! Sweetie it is not 115 at the Grand Canyon, maybe in Phoenix or Tucson, but not where our Classless First Lady was. All you people who think it is so sweltering on the Southern Rim obviously have never been there! Mrs. Obama has taken the phrase "no fashion sense" to a new low. She could have easily worn a pair of capri pants and top and been very comfortable and looked very nice. She could have worn her $500 gardening shoes too and gotten some addtional wear out of those "just average everyday people shoes". I think the shorts were in poor taste for a first lady. The position of president and first lady holds you to a higher standard. Besides the cellulite was showing........And yes, I have been in Arizona in HOT late July, but I am older, so I wore capris and lived to tell it, the heat did not kill me. If she was insistant on wearing shorts, she should have requested no press present, but then, maybe she wanted to be photographed.....just saying. We do not want nor need to know too much personal stuff about the first family. I remember Bill and Monica. Monica commented that she could describe his penis. Really, it was just more than I needed to know. It just kinda made my stomach turn.
