Ok first of all why do you think The CW creates these voting categories anyway? A network is not going to wast their time and resources on frivolous exercises. These polls can be used by the network to gage the popularity of a show. To see what audiences desire to watch and to gage which shows are worth keeping around. It's a way to gain instant feedback for the network.
i think the best what the fuck moment was when sam was drinking demon blood. why sammy you have to drink demon blood. also a dog ate dan heart. serioly in real life that can happen. a dog can eat a human heart. oh yea who cares lilly had serena aressted. supernatural was the best

I agree with both Turner and Ann. It doesn't matter. What's obvious is that we who love Supernatural and those of you who love OTH love their shows with equal passion. It's usually these two shows battling it out in the end, isn't it? It's hard not to lash out when someone 'disses' something you care so deeply about, but I respect the obvious passion the OTH viewers have for their show just as much as I respect the passion of my fellow SPN viewers. OTH rocks in its category (far superior to the others listed) but SPN rocks in its category, too. They're so different, with such different audiences, it's almost silly to put them up against each other, really. It's not Supernatural's fault that it's stuck on the CW, because the truth of the ratings is what Turner and Mr. Macho Ross said: the fan base is older and is equal parts male and female, while the other shows skew toward a younger, female audience which is the CW's mandate (apparently). But I gotta say, if you OTH fans check out SPN, you WILL NOT be disappointed! If you want to see two ridiculously hot guys crying and hugging and kicking ass like real men, you have GOT to check this show out! Jensen is probably the best actor in TV right now, period! He should be a huge Hollywood moviestar right now, and there's the real crime. Good luck, OTH fans! And keep on loving our boys, SPN fans!

ALL of these comments are EQUALLY immature. As you can see by that fact that BOTH groups are 'trash talking'. I will say that I am one of the biggest OTH fans though. Why does it matter which show is the best? Maybe Supernatural is a 'better show', I dont know. But I don't care because I love OTH.
I think the bitchiness and general incompetence of a lot of these comments show the age groups of these shows' fanbases. Supernatural attracts an older, more mature crowd while OTH attracts the younger and more easily amused. And as such, these crowds tend to clash when the older group makes sense of their opinions while the younger fruitlessly tries to bash the other and fails, succeeding only in making themselves look petty and immature. Throughout the Sourcies, that's one trend I've definitely noticed.

Aww, Amy I feel sorry for u coz, yeh, we know SPN is just a TV show DUH! but the luv that the Winchester broz have for each other is so perfectly played by Jensen and Jared that it seems real, and the fact is that in real life Jensen & Jared really are best friends and really do care about each other and that's what your really seeing on screen. I'm sorry your missing that magic coz your too bitter to even watch this awesome show. It keeps winning coz it keeps on giving!

We are gaining numbers all the time thanks to the sterling work that the fandom has done in encouraging sceptics to give it a go. We may be strong willed and passionate but it comes from a place of love.

I've been laboring under the delusion that the goings-on of Supernatural were real this whole time. The last four years of my life have been a lie! Thank goodness you were here to clarify that for me, Alison. I really don't know what I'd do without your guidance!
Thanks, kid, but I'm pretty sure I already knew that Supernatural is fictional. That's how it's advertised... One Tree Hill is supposed to be realistic, but I'm not even going to bother listing the ways it's completely off the wall.
And I beg to differ about your opinion - yes, you're perfectly entitled to believe that the Supernatural fandom is "mean" (I'll even admit that this comment might add to that belief), but the fans I've met or come in contact with have been some of the nicest, most kind-hearted people I've ever met. For instance, all of us fans together have raised over $12,000 for an animal rescue organization in honor of Jared and Jensen; $2,000 on Jared's birthday alone. I've made friends from all across the globe who are part of this fandom, and I talk to them daily.
Don't judge us, and we won't judge you.

Sam drinking demon blood almost made me PASS OUT. The whole time I was yelling at the screen telling him to stop! It just showed how far he had fallen after his brother Dean died. It was so tragic and heart wrenching. Yet, at the same time you know he has got to know better than to do that. That is what makes it such a powerful WTF moment.

I'm an avid Supernatural fan, but I gotta say... I NEARLY voted for OTH. But then I decided that I'd really rather this Sourcie not go to a scene that made me bust out laughing rather than have my jaw hit the floor. I mean... OTH is full of crap that would NEVER happen in real life, but really? A dog that would never have been allowed in an actual hospital just happens to be in the way of the guy bringing in the human heart, causing him to trip and the heart to fall out of the box? Then the dog picks it up and eats it? All of this conveniently happening right in front of Dan? No. That was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Sam drinking demon blood had me in shock for weeks after On The Head Of A Pin aired. Never in a million years would I have guessed that would happen. So yeah, definitely went for Supernatural here. And all you whiners can friggin' suck it, as far as I'm concerned. I'm tired of your bitchin'!

Di, if you didnt read it said a dog ate a HUMAN HEART. Dogs don't do that on a daily basis. It's not just "dogs eating stuff"
Of course it's Supernatural! Sam didn't just betray Dean when he turned to the dark side like that, he also betrayed all of us--the Super-fans. Stupid plot twists like, oooh, he's not really who he says he is, getting arrested and dogs eating stuff (dogs eat all kinds of stuff!) are like melted no-name vanilla icecream compared to the stab to the heart Sam's betrayal was to every one of us who watch our incredible show! It's like eating a banana split with the works every time we tune in! Kripke and the boys place the rug with great care and then rip it right out from under us every time. There's very little on that show that is boring or predictable--and no one saw Sam's blood-drinking coming--not even his brother.
