I just want to say I do not care for Kara at all. My love for American Idol included Simon, Paula, and Randy. I have watched every episode since the show began, but if you remove Paula Abdul I will NEVER watch American Idol again.
Paula is part of that show and you may as well remove your right arm if you don't have her on.

I have been an avid follower of American Idol since the beginning. I have loved every moment and the cast of judges was part of that pleasure. My mother and I watched it together before she died. Her last love on the show before her death was Fantasia. It has been a have to show that I never miss.
I do have this to say, if you remove Paula Abdul from the judges list, I will never watch the show again.
I'm done with it, if Paula goes. She is part of American Idol and should be treated as such.

The show did great without Kara. Get rid of her, and give Paula what you were paying Kara, plus her own salary, and you could possible get her back.
I only watch the show because of Simon and Paula. Randy is great also. Without those three, you have NO SHOW. I probably will not watch next season. Ellen is the worst choice you could have made.
Ellen should not be judging dancer or singers.Your messing up a great show. I don't believe I'll be watching this year. What a shame, that was my favorite show. GET PAULA BACK.

I'm afraid that if Paula does not return this season, Simon will leave the show next year when his contract is up, and for sure if Simon isn't around, the shows ratings will surely suffer. Paula please come back to AI and producers, please give her what she asked for. She deserves it - She, Randy and Simon are the ones who made AI what it is today - no one else can say that !!!

Tho I love Ellen DeGeneres, I will miss the chemistry between Paula and Simon. I am not looking forward to the new season as much now. Please Paula, reconsider!...And Fox should reconsider their decision also and give Paula what she has earned and deserves!...Wake up before the show flops ! I would hate to think of a future without "American Idol".

Paula was consistently kind. The problem last season was too much unfocused, rambling commentary -- and they didn't need a 4th judge. Kara didn't add anything except time that should have been devoted to the contestants. I've lost faith in 19; the voting method allows for too much skewing; too much time spent on everything but the Idol contestants themselves. Many of the proposed guest judges don't impress me, and I wouldn't tune in to see them. I think Idol has lost its integrity, and now they are treading water. Too bad. The contestants deserve a vehicle like this. Just not this one, which has become so shallow and schlocky that it's not about the contestants any more.

I too am very disappointed that Paula is leaving!! For me she adds to the show no matter the difference in popular opinion... I'm thinking (& hoping) something is in the works or will change by time January rolls around...but I will definitely still watch because I love it I am addicted!!!!!

i think it is a shame that they could find the money to give simon and ryan a raise, dont know about randy; but, could not give paula her deserved raise. they said last year that they didnt even think four judges worked. why would they keep kara$$$$, add a guest judge$$$$, give simon and ryan a raise$$$$$$$$$$$$$; but, would not do the decent thing and pay paula what she deserves. i will not watch.

Doesn't matter if Paula is there or not--got so sick of the judges last year--I fast forwarded through all of them but Simon. Usually he was the only one who gave an honest opinion (until he got too busy trying to psche us into how he wanted us to vote). Let's spend more time with the contestants and less time with the judges. In my opinion, the judges didn't add much to the show last year. America certainly didn't choose the Idol they wanted us to. FYI: I believe America got it right.

I think it is a big mistake for her not to be coming back. I am still hoping something will change and that Paula will return.
