Hi I voted Barry as I am a fan of his 29 years now. I have never heard of journey. Barry is the ultimate showman and great singer his music is the best he writes the songs and plays piano too a very talented musician. He is still singing after over 30 years!! I love some of the newer stuff like Open Arms he sings with such emotion and love.

Barry Manilow is he Ultimate Showman and Musician of this generation. There is no comparison here. unfortunately you are asking for people who merely hear music to compete against people who listen to music. There is no need for a vote to crown Barry Manilow as the Ultimate Guilty Pleasure. It is a shame you do not properly pair nominees in the same musical realm where results would be a little more accurate. As it is, you are asking for people to vote for something they know nothing about and have never experienced to just another band.
I chose Barry, because, Journey may SING the song, but that's it. Barry, puts real emotions into it - you can hear it in his voice. Like with any of his songs - he puts his own experiences in how he sings. I am hearing impaired, and I don't just 'hear' Barry singing. I LISTEN to him. I write poetry - same concept - you have to put how you are feeling at the moment, into how you write, ergo Barry puts how HE feels at the moment, when he is singing. His life is in every song he has ever written, and, THAT, is what makes Barry, the BETTER "Guilty Pleasure".
Just saw Journey last month in concert. They rocked the new lead singer is incrediable. The band was tight and great solos. You have got to see Journey.
