I do alot of freediving myself and see hundreds of goliath groupers everywhere from 5' of water all the way to 140', I dont know how many people have ever seen these huge fish before and the way they stick togeather and find a home and really never leave it. I have been in one hundred foot of water frediving and speared a 25 pound black grouper and had two goliath groupers over 400 lbs each bumping and fighting each other all the way to the surface to eat the grouper, They can be agressive when they want to be.

I would like to have this bumper sticker. How do I get one? Better yet, if you have this on a t-shirt I will buy one for each member of my family. I love the Bahia Honda web cam. I have a shortcut for it on my pc. I've been diving open water since 1980 and have seen many Goliath Grouper. While diving a wreck in eighty feet off Volusia County several years ago I saw the largest one I have seen. It came into view through the haze, and at first I thought to myself "what is a Manatee doing out here"? As I got closer I realized I was seeing the largest Goliath Grouper Ive ever seen. I remember it cast a shadow on the sandy bottom. And yes, the question of will this guy try to eat me popped into my head. It was comforting to know my dive partner was right next to me. Safety in numbers! We actually continued our dive in the Groupers direction as it moved off and disappeared in the haze.
