Should voters be required to show positive identification, such as a driver's license, at the polls?

    Joe,

It's obvious you do not care about facts and truth. You take Republican Party talking points as fact. When countless of independent non-partisan research institutes dispute it completely with facts and information.

Please read my second post. You can debate facts all you want just like those people who think the Earth is flat, but it just makes you look extremely gullible and naive. Get information from more than one source, Fox News and talk radio don't count as separate entities.

Al Franken wouldn't be the 60th Dem Senator if the fraudulent votes fostered by Acorn were to be thrown out. The vote is one of the most precious rights we Americans have. Why do you not want to protect it by simply requiring those casting a vote to prove they are entitled to vote? By not protecting the integrity of the voting process you get chaos(Obama).

    John, John, John...

Nothing can get into that thick skull now can it. You think ACORN was the only one "intimidating voters?" They're just the ones being reported on. You're beyond naive.

How do you not understand the difference between libertarianism and American liberalism?

Believe me, I absolutely didn't vote for any Democrats or Republicans, and have never done so. I will never sellout my vote, like most Americans, and vote the "lesser of the evil" in. Ron Paul is the only politician who can even be compared remotely to my views.

Also, I don't need parenting from an out-of-touch elder like yourself. I'll keep calling people dudes, and you can keep calling people "Massachusetts kennedy loving left wing liberal." Keep it classy John.

Mike, this is not about dems or rebubs. These GOONS from acorn INTIMIDATED voters at the polls. They actually used physical violence on voters. If you weren't such A Massachusetts kennedy loving left wing liberal, who probably voted for barney frank also, you might have some creds. in the real world. The best thing you and your ilk can do for the U.S. is leave and go to europe. you should feel right at home there. Oh, by the way, DUDE is not not the way an ADULT refers to someone.

To actually think 10+ million votes are fraudulent is a little psycho. There's a significant difference between voter registration fraud and actual voter fraud. I'll stick with non-partisan Ivy League (Penn) research institute rather than FOX News and other right wing nut jobs.

"There's a huge difference between voter fraud and voter registration fraud. And while ACORN, which hires part-time, $8-an-hour canvassers to go door-to-door and register people to vote, has had widespread problems with phony registrations invented by employees who don't want to work, the problem has never been that it sent people to the polls using bogus identities or to vote in any other fraudulent manner. Even the Republican prosecutor of the largest ACORN case to date said the shenanigans of ACORN workers were 'not intended to permit illegal voting.'"

Stop taking the medias word as fact for Christ sake. "News" isn't and hasn't been ethical for a real long time.

And believe me Obama is most certainly not my boy, dude is way too socially conservative for a guy like me. Civil libertarianism is the only card I play.

Mike, do honestly think that this IDIOT we have in the white house would have been elected/ The voter fraud that used for this election is a CRIME against the Citizens of the U.S. Acorn is under investigation or indited for voter fraud in 17 States already, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. Mickey boy, get a grip on reality and admit that your boy is a fraud.

  • Mike - 15 years ago

Yeah, the voter fraud is what elected the "socialists." Joe, your tin foil hat is on too tight there buddy.

  • joe - 15 years ago

I don't like the fact that I am losing some of my liberties due to Acorn and voter fraud that elected these socialists. this might have been prevented if frauds had to identify themselves.

  • Mike - 15 years ago

They absolutely should not have to. There are plenty of people out there who want nothing, and I mean nothing, to do with the government. People without licenses or other forms of identification should not be prohibited from voting. Kinda reminds me of how only property owners could vote, how only people who can read or write can vote, etc.
