Without Mac's and the history behind them you wouldn't have most of the developments that we've seen in computer technology (mouse, the HMI, the dock etc.....). Just because there's more of them doesn't make PC's better! That's like saying that the Ford Focus is better than a Bugatti Veyron because there's more of 'em!?
PC's should be the last thing to get anywhere near adorning the WoF! Remember, Windows 95 was only what Mac had released in 1985! And that trend has continued.
Gonna have to start calling Jon Bentley the Thierry Henry of TV!

In my opinion
Mac’s = Reliability because they are 1 Dimensional. You are resticted to what Apple allows you to do.
PC’s = Freedom to do more. They have more bugs and security holes than Mac’s but you have more flexibility over software and hardware. PC’s dominate the market because of this flexibility.
My vote is PC.
Also it appears a lot of comments give the impression people are voting for Mac OS comparing to the flaws of Windows which is the wrong attitude.

Mac should have won by a mile. They constantly broke new ground and contributed to the evolution of computers.
Photoshop was designed for the mac which in turn played a major part in transforming hollywood special effects.
The OS operating system pre-dated windows by a couple of years (which is basically copy with flaws).
itunes / ipod.

and apples service is beyond excellent fast reliable and fair. you ever tried going to pc world and getting sense out of the staff you got more chance of getting a hens tooth

hi jon you got it wrong i have a pc but my bf has a macbook pro and his laptop is so much better than my pc. my pc always goes wrong and gets viruses even with norton installed. he never gets any and has no norton type programs installed on his mac. he also has an 8 year old imac running the latest software. my pc doesn't want to know if i try and load vista apparently i have to up grade it and it is only 2 years old not 8 i hate my pc and am getting a mac for christmas

I have a Mac and a PC, My Mac developed a red line down the middle at just 2yrs 3mth, Mac have poor customer service and at £800.00 I expected better, also repairs on Mac's are expensive, for a new screen £384.00, och. On the other had my PC purchased at the same time is working perfectly, so PC's get my vote.

This 'which is best' thingy is really nullified now - Macs are now shipped with Intel processors, and pc-compatible hardware. Even Windows can be installed as the primary opertating system. And if you want the legendary Mac OS reliabiltiy, just install Linux, which is what the Mac OS is based on anyway.

jon you got it wrong what about how windows os started, picked up out of the trash can there because it would not work and had to many bugs and microsoft have been doing the same ever since copying apple but just not getting it right. and if you really want to you can run windows os on your mac and it works better than on a pc you can also use pages the apple word processor to convert windows word docs. i currently use my macbook pro as a dj desk and gaming machine and photo shop. so come on jon make the right choice you know it makes sense a long time mac fan ps dont forget the excellent internet security of a mac

Ever since I got my 15 inch MacBook Pro I have never looked back, Windows has always been general hell for me but Macs actually do what computers are supposed to :P

i have a mac and even tho most games are played on a pc they are created on a mac
