Conjunctivitis, What's Your Function?
When my kids have pink eye, we go about all of our normal activities (work, school, daycare, etc.).
When my kids have pink eye, I insist that they start antibiotics ASAP (even if it may be viral) so we can go back to our normal activities after 24 hours.
When my kids have pink eye, we stay home from our normal activities (work, school, daycare, etc.) for 3 - 5 days.
When my kids have pink eye, we stay home from our activities AND we refrain from going out in public (shopping, parks, etc.) unless it's absolutely necessary (pharmacy, doctor's office).
We're hermits, and we never leave the house anyway so it doesn't matter whether we have pink eye or not.
