Will you switch to a handsfree cell and stop texting in the car?

No, I won't be buying a hands-free........ I live in a small city, and find it easy to pull over to answer my phone, or call back when I am in a parking spot.

Hi guys, Im the Vancouver Trolley driver that took you the "wonderful" Hollow Tree. This new Law is going to effect a lot of Commercial Drivers. We all have seen those delightful Taxi drivers weaving through traffic while talking on the phone. As well, it has been common place for Tour Bus drivers to communicate to the office on cell phones, and for that matter all Truck Drivers. In December there was an Ad for a Limosine driver that specified "you must be very good at Texting while driving". The challenge will really come during the Olympics as there will nowhere to pull over. Lets hope the Employers make changes.

Simply put - GET OF YOUR DAMN PHONES!!!! (While driving)

I went out for a drive today to see how many people were using their cell phones and who was 'talking to themselves'... Sad to say that out of 50 people only 6 looked like they were talking themselves and the other 44 were on their cells!!!!!!

Trick question; no I wont buy a hands-free but yes I will stop using the phone while driving.

Right on! The passionate opponents to this are dreaming in technicolor! They all believe that THEY can multitask without losing concentration on their driving. Let's give this a chance and hope it will actually get the braindead ones to stop trying to drive and talk with one hand operating the vehicle while not paying enough attention to their driving!

I recently purchased a 2010 Mazda 3 that is fully equipped with handsfree Bluetooth technology. This just makes talking on the phone much easier; not to mention I don't have to fish through my purse to find my phone! I don't text while on the highway, but I do admit to texting on city streets. I will probably attempt to stop that- maybe only texting at red lights?

I have been using hands-free for 3 years, and I have never texted while driving my car. I don't agree with an outright ban on hand held cell phone use, but I do agree with a ban on texting while driving.

I was sure when U went to break that the screen showed a choice of 4 for the poll. I went to the site and my choices were 3.

Maybe it's just me but I saw the reminder and immediately went to my grocery list to add "get cell adapter"! So, I would say I fall under the category of "Things To Do Right Away" as a list would most usually mean asap or why write it on "A List"!

    Sincerely,

    Adrienne

PS: I'm going shopping this afternoon!
