Always carry in my bag and pockets at least one set of earphones, a five-way cable splitter, and converters to phono and mono plugs. You never know from what source you'll need to listen to audio, and how many people will want to share it... ;-)

If I'm going to work the headphones are normally in my bag. Often I'll have some in my coat pocket anyway
