The players are at the mercy and prey to the whims of unprofessional refs. This is totally unacceptable and the NHL need to ensure that there are no Gods on ice. The NBA has been plagued by rotten refs and the NHL needs to rectify this mess now. No more needs to be said what remains needs to be done and this is DISCIPLINARY ACTION, including removing bad refs from the ice.

I believe Burrows is right. Any refs carrying grudges that interfers with his judgements should be fired & banned from reffing any hockey games ever

Primo Secco, I Almost Wrote That Too Regarding The Banning Of Games With The Canucks Yet If Burrows Signs With Any Other Team The Issue Will Still Be There. We Just Won’t Care As Much About It!

Let’s See Besides The Humans The Price Will Be Paid By Us The Fans, The Canucks, The Canuck Players, Burrows – Of Course, The Game Of Hockey, The Reputation Of The Game, Other Players That Will Be Totally Confused At Every Ref Because They Won’t Know Which Ref Will Come To Ref Tonight. This referee should be barred from refereeing any more games in which the canucks are playing, if not forever. The game was a terrific game and should have been decided by the players not by the chicken s--t calls by this referee.

Ref’s Should Not Be Talking To Any Player Before The Game Unless Warranted And If Warranted Both Ref’s Should Be Consulting The Player(S) At The Same Time And The Player Should Have One Of The Captain’s With Them. Kind Of The Union Rule That Is Still In Place To Protect Everyone’s Interest!
Now Whatever Happened I Believe On December 8th Should Have Stayed On December 8th! Clearly This Ref Had It Out For Burrows! The Dive As It Was Called Should Never Of Been Called As It Seemed To Me That Neither Player Did Anything Wrong So The Play Should Have Just Continued Without The Infraction.
As Coach A Said Last Night After The Game How Could The Calgary Defender Not Get A Penalty For Running Luongo, Which Clearly Should Have Been Called, And Burrows Gets 2 Plus The One At The End Of The Night For Giving It To The Ref? The Ref On Saturday Said That They Didn’t Want To Give An Interference Penalty To Help Decide The Game Yet That Is What The Ref Did Last Night!
I Think If The Ref Should Be Fined As Well As Suspended Without Pay! He Has Been Repremanded In The Past And As Burrows Has A Reputation The Ref Does Too!

I have quit watching many hockey games when the refs favour one team over the other. There should be disciplinary action taken for those that abuse their job.

Way to go Alec - you had the guts to speak out about the unfairness in the reffering that is going on. The refs absolutely do hold grudges - so they should be fined big time. Also Alain & Mike should back Alec up - I have often yelled at the TV when you can see that the calls have been unfair (example Sat.nite's game against Calgary - why no interference call on Roberto in overtime, the ref said he did not want to make a call that would decide the game, excuse me but that is the Ref's job). Too many bad calls are being made and the coach's should pull their team until the call is corrected!!!!!!!!

Until last nights game I would not have believed it, that was embarassing to anyone in stripes.
