I ate (mostly) strict paleo with a daughter for a several years, also did other paleo stuff, like breastfeeding for several years, avoiding large groups of strangers, sleeping when tired (no alarm clocks) etc. It was really nice to live that way, really stabilises your central nervous system. But life moves on, kids grow up. Now I focus on role-modeling a healthy relationship to meat and fat (many girls are taught they are bad!) and eating carbs when it is light outside. (never touch wheat though) good luck with your new job, sounds fun!!
I am still getting the hang of it, although I am serious I know what it is to binge in response to a mishap. I selected relaxed because I have to be mentally relaxed while working towards diet strictness. I must admit that a recent post on PaNu http://www.paleonu.com/panu-weblog/2010/1/13/smoking-candy-cigarettes.html
is really helpful. I would suggest reading it, I believe it is going to help me make it through the family and work birthday crush that happens in the first 3 months of the year.

I don't see the point in being half arsed about it. It's important to me so I take it seriously.
